Sanctuary Cities

Posted in uncategorized with tags , , , , on June 12, 2019 by andelino

Sanctuary cities come into play when an undocumented/illegal immigrant comes into contact with the police. A very common occurrence of this happens on the road, someone “is speeding, has a broken taillight, or has a broken license plate light,” and is pulled over.

If a person is undocumented/illegal, chances are they do not have a “valid” driver’s license. Twelve states and the District of Columbia allow immigrants to legally drive. Immigrants still have to get to work and school somehow, but being found without a valid driver’s license can get an individual arrested.

Other reasons immigrants, just like native-born Americans, come into contact with the police include an immigrant calling the police to their house, for example in the case of a domestic dispute, a car accident, drug usage, police checkpoints, and so forth.

Once an immigrant is arrested, their information gets put into a federal database that is shared with “Immigration and Customs Enforcement” (ICE).

ICE can then issue a hold, also called a detainer, asking the police to hold that person in “custody” until ICE can come pick that person up for immigration detention and eventual deportation.

Here’s where we get to important legal point #1: being undocumented is not a crime. It’s a civil violation. Undocumented immigrants have rights under the U.S. Constitution. And according to due process, the police cannot detain anyone who hasn’t at least been suspected of a crime.

If a police officer encounters someone walking down the street who turns out to be undocumented, they cannot arrest that person because that person has not committed a crime. ICE, however, can. Similarly, if the police arrest someone undocumented, for example, someone suspected of committing a crime, who is then cleared, they must let that person go.

In a sanctuary city, the police will release an “arrested” immigrant after he/she has been cleared of charges, posted bail, or completed jail time for whatever he/she was arrested for.

A non-sanctuary city will “hold” that person until ICE can come pick them up.

Keep in mind that entering the country “illegally” is in fact a crime. It doesn’t matter to what “degree” of a crime it is, it is still “against” immigration law and that is a “crime.”

If someone wants to “immigrate” to the US for whatever reason, they must obtain or present “proper type of documentation” as they enter.

Even visitors and US citizens must show a “passport” when they arrive in the US from another country. Keep that fact in mind.

Ice Age Disaster

Ice Age Disaster 07An epic winter storm lashed out on the south-eastern states with a crippling 2.3″ snow fall and below freezing temperatures.

Children were trapped, freezing and starving on stranded school buses.

Jack-knifed 18 wheelers litter the interstate highway system blocking rescue vehicles and snow plows from freeing millions of motorists stranded in the sub arctic chill.

‘We’re running out of gas. We haven’t eaten in hours. My I-phone battery died. The baby’s diaper is overflowing!” These are just a few of the chilling pleas for help littering Georgia’s highways and byways as residents prepare for another few nights of record cold.

Ice Age Disaster 03

“Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said the National Guard was sending military Humvees onto Atlanta’s snarled freeways to try to move stranded school buses and get food and water to people. Georgia State Patrol troopers headed to schools where children were hunkered down early Wednesday after spending the night there, and transportation crews continued to treat roads and bring gas to motorists,” Deal said.

“Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed blamed schools, businesses and government offices for all letting everyone out at the same time, and he said they should have staggered their closings.”

CNN info-babe Carol Costello “argued” with Mayor Reed, “blaming” him for not caring.

The Mayor in turn “blamed” Governor Deal, who promptly “deflected” all blame to the weather forecasters.

The local weather forecasters promptly “blamed” the National Weather Service.

All in all, it was quite an “amusing” scene.

Ice Age Disaster 04

In the next few weeks we will witness an “in-depth” investigation to find those responsible for the local “cooling mess” that will “dwarf” the congressional investigation of Benghazi.

The reason? CNN headquarters is located in Atlanta, and Carol Costello was “inconvenienced.”

There’s only one word acronym for such a disaster “FEMA!” This is Mother Nature’s way of reminding us that we cannot survive without the “love and affection” of Big Brother to guide our every step.

Thank God for Chick-fil-A who somehow has learned by copying Obama’s “redistribution” policies to make a profit by giving away foodstuffs for free to stranded drivers and car occupants…. “without requesting vouchers, EBT or ration cards!”

Some of the drivers had been stuck in their cars for nearly seven hours without any food or water. So the staff of the Chick-fil-A decided to lend a helping hand.

“We cooked several hundred sandwiches and stood out on both sides of 280 and handed out the sandwiches to anyone we could get to – as long as we had food to give out.”

The Chick-fil-A staffers braved the “falling snow, hauling arctic winds and slippery ice” and refused to take a single penny for their efforts or the sandwiches.

The meal was a “gift” – no strings attached. So why did they give away their food?

“This company is based on taking care of people and loving people before you’re worried about money or profit,” a staffer said.

“We were just trying to follow the model that we’ve all worked under for so long and the model that we’ve come to love. There was really nothing else we could have done but try to help people any way we could.”

The even fed “homosexuals and same sex couples” without asking any questions and allowed anyone who wanted to sleep on a “bench or a booth” in their establishment.

All this without the help of “FEMA or the National Guard!”

I can only hope that children who were stranded in schools were not permitted to eat from vending machines containing “unhealthy” foods according to “Fat Czar” Michelle Obama’s LetsMove.gov dedicated to solve the challenge of childhood “obesity” within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams.
