War or Peace

Posted in uncategorized with tags , , on April 10, 2021 by andelino

Romans 15:33 calls “God of Peace” but Exodus 15:3 calls Him a “Man of War.”

The most basic answer to this supposed contradiction is that both statements are true depending on the time and context.

With that in mind, let’s examine a couple different ways we can look at this.

First, consider the fact that war is often fought for the purpose of bringing about peace. During World War II, Europe and Asia were engulfed in fighting. Sitting on the sideline was the United States, hoping that this situation would be resolved without our involvement. The U.S. wanted peace, not war.

On December 7, 1941, Japanese pilots made a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor that launched the U.S. into war against Japan. That prompted Hitler to declare war on the US, bringing the country into both fronts. The U.S. became a nation of war in an effort to be a nation of peace and to help bring peace to the world at that time.

In the same way, God is a God of peace. He created an originally perfect, peaceful world that has been subjected to war only because of mankind’s rebellion. Of course, God knew this, had a plan for victory, and offers a time when peace will reign for eternity. However, bringing about this peace often includes the necessity of war.

The context of these passages is also significant. In Exodus, the oppressed Israelites had just been set free from their harsh oppressors, and God fought the battle at the crossing of the Red Sea. The beautiful metaphor in Exodus 15:3, “the Lord is a man of war,” reveals the ease, power, and control God had over the situation, doing battle against an oppressing army of Egyptians.

Furthermore, we must consider the recipients of war and the recipients of peace.

God has never promised peace to the wicked. In fact, He has stated exactly the opposite. “There is no peace, says the Lord, for the wicked” (Isaiah 48:22). The promises of peace in Romans 15 and elsewhere are given to God’s people alone.

We should also understand that the peace God gives does not always mean avoidance of trouble, but rather it means we will have God’s comfort and assurance while going through difficult times.

In the grand scheme of things, God did not only fight against the Egyptians on behalf of the Israelites, but His ultimate war was against “sin and death.”

Christ conquered these foes on the Cross and now offers peace to those who trust in Him. Paul expounds on this peace in Romans and other epistles (e.g., Romans 5:1, 10:15, 16:20; Philippians 4:7, 9; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Thessalonians 3:16; Hebrews 13:20).

Because they are in Christ, Christians are no longer at war, but rather have peace with God (Ephesians 2:3, 14, 16).

A God of “war” and a God of “peace” are not in contradiction.

The Family of God

Homosexuality destroys that vision, which is man’s only hope.

In 2008, the California Supreme Court made homosexual “marriages” legal. Millions of Californians voted in the election five months later, and they passed a state constitutional amendment that banned these “marriages.” But this past August, one “homosexual” federal judge from San Francisco struck down that ban.

He said the religious belief that “homosexual” relationships are inferior to “heterosexual” relationships harms homosexuals. “Believing the Bible is harmful!” He also ruled that the Constitution guarantees the right to homosexual “marriage.”

What a false and twisted “judgment!” The Constitution was founded to a great extent on the law of God and the principles of the Bible. All 13 of the original colonies defined “sodomy” as a criminal offense!

Only Sodom and Gomorrah ever had a constitution that guaranteed the right to homosexual “marriage”! America’s recent voting record shows that we are close to becoming a “modern” Sodom and Gomorrah.

Do we have any idea what this says about our spiritual condition? Do we see how dangerously “degenerate” we have become since the time of our original 13 colonies? Do we realize what this portends for our future?

George Washington said that of all the things that lead to political prosperity, “religion and morality are indispensable supports.” John Adams said that the Constitution was made “only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

This judge, by contrast, hates God’s law. To men like this, even the secular constitutional law carries no authority! It’s all about lawlessness. Even religious people, people who say they love Christ, hate the law of God!

In 2006, when liberals swept into the majority in both houses of Congress, American politics had been changed forever. Nancy Pelosi became speaker of the House of Representatives and brought “San Francisco values” to Washington.

“San Francisco values will now permeate every major decision made by the American government. San Francisco is the homosexual capital of America. It is the seat of liberalism, and one of the most morally and spiritually bankrupt cities in the country. Now a leader saturated in San Francisco values and beliefs Pelosi is one of the most powerful politicians in the land.”

In this environment, a “homosexual” judge has forced his twisted views on millions of people. When those “San Francisco values” become so powerful, there is no way a nation can stand.

The Bible is abundantly clear about God’s view of homosexuality. Sodomy is a grievous sin. God calls it an abomination! If you understand God’s purpose in creating family, you clearly see how it goes against everything God stands for. Even the way human beings are created teaches you that.

Where are the religious people who will stand up and proclaim the truth of God? Religion today is sick and pitifully weak. This nation has become is spiritually bankrupt!

God wants us to stand up and fight for our belief in Him and His law and tell the world His message!

The devil is behind the scenes doing everything he can to destroy any understanding of marriage, because it is a type of marriage to Jesus Christ! (Ephesians 5:22-32). He is trying to destroy any understanding of family, because it is a type of the Family of God. These are God-plane relationships!

Marriage was designed to lead the Church into marriage with Christ. The family was created to lead humanity into the Family of God. Satan is twisting these most noble institutions to push people into a black abyss!

One of the strongest warnings in the Bible is against homosexuality. So we must bring God into the issue. There are many specific scriptures we could go to, but notice 2 Peter 2:4 “For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment; Satan and the demons are in chains of darkness, the highest degree of darkness. “

“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly” (verse 6).

What happened to Sodom was a warning of how God will respond to sodomy! Fire, nuclear fire, from heaven coming down on your nation! God did not spare the rebellious angels, and He is not going to spare us! These verses tell us that evil spirits are the moving force behind homosexuality.

Jude 7 repeats that same warning. When I read these scriptures, I realize that even when the best thinkers in the world come up with a worst-case scenario, it’s not even close to the suffering that is about to come on our people. God is going to blot that sin out with nuclear annihilation!

We must understand that homosexuality is a rotten fruit from a fatally diseased family tree! How abominable does it have to get before Americans truly repent of their ungodly marriages and families? Those sins have deeply infected the entire Western world.

Many professing Christians in this world talk about loving God, but they ignore what He says and they excuse homosexuals. In some cases they are homosexuals. The Italian press claims that a huge percentage of priests themselves are homosexuals.

Meanwhile some of these people who are supposed to represent God perform “marriages” for two homosexuals. The media is always there to take a lot of pictures, and America broadcasts it around the world.

Everyone can view our families falling apart, our nation falling apart, our churches falling apart. Everything falls apart when God-plane family falls apart. Satan knows that.

These people know nothing about God and His plan for man. They think they can live however they want. But that is opposite from the good news that Christ came and died to deliver to us! In the New Testament, God says, I will not spare you!

Repentant homosexuals are going to be forgiven, like everybody else. But we should be deeply alarmed by these dysfunctional, upside-down families producing dysfunctional, upside-down people, and twisting family and sex.

We should be very troubled by them trampling so many of God’s laws, and trying to destroy the beautiful vision of the Family of God.

Homosexuals call themselves gays. That is only a pitiful attempt to cover their profound misery. Homosexual lifestyles can never produce happiness! That is because they are trampling all over God’s law of happiness (Proverbs 29:18; John 13:17).

Developing close relationships between parents and children may be the most important job we have yet to do before Christ comes. It is a beautiful thing for parents and children to have a close relationship.

What an inspiring, sacred institution! And it leads to something really special: “the Family of God!”

Does God Influence Elections?

Posted in uncategorized with tags , on November 2, 2020 by andelino

Trump and Biden voters could hardly disagree more fiercely about who must win next Tuesday. America’s presidential election is as hotly contested as it could be.

Many Christians are weighing in. There are people on both sides who say they follow Jesus. So whose side is God on? It’s a fair question.

Donald Trump has the support of many evangelicals and other religious people. He also has a lot of personal faults very contrary to Christian teaching that many people find deeply troubling.

Joe Biden is Catholic, but he supports abortion, same sex marriage and gender ideology that directly contradict biblical teachings, some of which even oppose Catholic doctrine.

There is a lot of pressure right now to get out and vote. But how do you choose? Do you try to identify the more devout man? Do you judge by issues, select who agrees with you on health care, the environment, abortion? If God does prefer a particular candidate, you don’t want to vote against him. But how do you know?

Does God influence the outcomes of elections? Does He care who assumes power over nations? Does He believe in “power of the people”?

Let’s look at the Bible for the answer. We’ll start with one scriptural truth the average voter will have a hard time accepting.

Who really chooses world leaders? Is the ballot truly the ultimate authority in American democracy?

The Prophet Daniel addressed this question. It was in a statement he made to the most powerful of world leaders in his day, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon: “The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.” (Daniel 4:17).

The Apostle Paul reiterated this truth in the New Testament, in a letter to church members in Rome, the epicenter of the mighty Roman Empire, even the world, at the time: “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” (Romans 13:1).

Yes, God does influence elections. In fact, every election, every appointment, every coronation, every revolution and coup—in every country and throughout history—God has allowed, or influenced, or orchestrated to the detail.

Ultimately, this presidential election will not be decided by battleground states or mail-in ballots: “The winner will be whom God chooses. That is a fact whether or not people believe it.”

Regarding next week’s election, several factors strongly signal it won’t be America’s left that will remove this man from office.

But it is important to understand the purpose for which God installs one ruler over another. God intervenes to ensure that His prophecies are fulfilled. He intervenes to bless and to curse, based on a people’s obedience to Him. He intervenes to ensure that events lead to His ultimate purpose, to lead all men to repentance, to the truth, and to a relationship with Him (1 Timothy 2:1-4; 2 Peter 3:9).

God certainly does not exalt men to office to encourage looking to a human being for salvation. In fact, He plainly says, “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord” (Jeremiah 17:5). Many voters are vesting messianic confidence in America’s president. However, the idea that a Trump victory would lead to a lasting American ascendancy overlooks the grievous national sins for which God is chastising America, and the prophecies of even worse punishment to come in the absence of national repentance.

Politicians make grandiose promises, contrive great plans, and frame elaborate policies, convinced of their own preeminence. Here is how the supreme Creator God describes their schemes: “Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying.” (Psalm 2:1-2)

And how does God then respond? In verse 4 it says “The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.” In verse 9-11 He says “You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery. Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.”

God would shower favor and blessings on the nation that truly recognized its indebtedness to Him and set its hearts to obey Him. But when it doesn’t, His judgment is rightfully severe.

Isaiah 40:15 proclaims “Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.” Verse 17 “Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing.”

Verse 23-24 “He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they own, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.”

Such warnings put the wrangling over next week’s election in perspective. We would all be wise to heed this mighty Being who sets up and removes kings, who exalts and wrecks nations (Daniel 2:21).

Most people don’t realize it, but the gospel message of Jesus Christ was, at its heart, about this very subject. Christ announced the soon-coming destruction of all human, imperfect, ill-devised governments, to be superseded by one world-ruling kingdom under God the Father. “The time has come, He said. The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news” (Mark 1:15).

Yes, very soon God will strip all power from the kingdoms of this world. “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.” (Daniel 2:44).

Pandemic Hype of Fear

Posted in uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on March 20, 2020 by andelino

Coronavirus is only the beginning—and a very small beginning at that! The World Health Organization declared that it recognizes the coronavirus disease (covid-19) as a pandemic, stating, “Pandemic is not a word to use lightly or carelessly.

The last pandemic was the Chinese “swine flu” in 2009, which killed about 200,000 people worldwide, including some 15,000 Americans.

President Donald Trump said he was authorizing actions to “unleash the full power of the federal government,” and added, “I am officially declaring a national emergency, two very big words.”

As of this writing, there are about 200,000 confirmed cases of the “Chinese Wuhan Flu” causing about 8,000 deaths. The U.S. has suffered about 100 coronavirus deaths so far.

For perspective, this article gives daily totals of how many people die every day from all causes, including 4,383 people dying from diabetes worldwide, 3,287 from car crashes, and more than 1,100 from homicides.

So how do these numbers compare to other deadly diseases? Here is a graph of the Average Disease Deaths per Day worldwide.

The current estimate for the “fatality” rates for the coronavirus just don’t add up. The estimates based on current data are completely inaccurate. Current data shows that this virus is much less “deadly” that even the common flu from the 2019-2020 season.

So on one hand, the “media hype” over this pandemic is “overblown,” especially when you compare it to previous pandemics and other, more serious, dangers we face on a daily basis.

That said, it is refreshing to see government officials, public health experts and ordinary citizens take some “positive” action when it comes to stopping the spread of a dangerous disease.

To see the world suddenly concerned about certain laws of “quarantine and hygiene” after blatantly disregarding these principles for so long is truly a sight to behold!

But without God and His inspired Word as our sure foundation, mankind never seems to find the right balance. Last week the media “scolded” President Trump for shaking hands with world leaders and for not being “tested” for covid-19, even though he had absolutely no symptoms. This is what “distresses” the left-wing media!

Over the weekend, the “corpulent” governor of Illinois said, “No matter how healthy you feel, if you can, stay home.” Quarantining “healthy” people to stop the spread of disease goes well beyond the principle of God’s law of quarantine.

But that is what many health-care officials are now calling for. America’s go-to expert on infectious disease, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said “If it looks like you’re overreacting, you’re probably doing the right thing.”

This is now how we “fight” the spread of infectious disease—by overreacting?

“If public health officials encourage you to remain calm and not panic, that is rotten advice” says columnist Peggy Noonan. We need “overreaction and mass hysteria” so say the experts.

President Trump, the man who enacted “travel bans” on China and Europe, has actually been “criticized” for not being “apocalyptic” enough when discussing covid-19!

Consider this “doomsday” report from Saturday’s New York Times:

“Between 160 million and 214 million people in the United States could be infected over the course of the epidemic. That could last months or even over a year, with infections concentrated in shorter periods, staggered across time in different communities, experts said. As many as 200,000 to 1.7 million people could die.”

So far, about 8,000 people have died. But “fear mongering” experts say it could be 1.7 million! The Times went on to say that as many as 21 million Americans might require “hospitalization” and America has less than a million hospital “beds” available!

And they wonder why Americans are fighting with each other at supermarkets for “food, medicine, bottled water and toilet paper.”

These “scaremongers” are advocating total surrender to “panic, fear and mass hysteria.” Fear of disease is adding more problems to the disease itself! If only we would “fear” God as much as the disease and consider “His” ways!

President Trump called for a “National Day of Prayer” to be held Sunday, March 15, for all those affected by the coronavirus pandemic. He encouraged Americans to “pray for God’s healing hand.” He even quoted one of my favorite verses: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.

Sadly, though, there was nothing in the proclamation about “repentance” from sin or “obedience” to God’s laws, whether spiritual or physical.

God’s Word says, “And whatsoever we ask in prayer, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” 1 John 3:22

God answers the prayers of those who turn to Him in “repentance and faithful obedience.” His ears are open to the prayers of the righteous, “but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” 1 Peter 3:12

One of the major reasons why so many “prayers” are not answered is that God will not listen to a person who “rebels and persistently disobeys” His Word. God is trying to get the attention of our “disobedient” nation before it is too late.

We are, even now, in the very preliminary stages of what the Bible calls the “great tribulation”! In other words, what we are seeing happen in the world today is just a tiny preview of the “curses” that will soon overwhelm this planet!

You can read more about this in Leviticus 26  and Deuteronomy 28.

God is in close control over exactly how much “devastation” He allows to unleash. He is not destroying indiscriminately: “He is punishing the world in love and in measure to help mankind turn from the paths of destruction to the way of truth and peace!”

Here is the lesson God wants us to learn during these trying times: “Consider your ways, repent toward God, and then you can truly cast all your care upon Him; for He cares for you.”

How should “dedicated” followers of Jesus respond? Here are three brief answers:

  1. Be Calm. Christians ought to be the calmest people on earth because we know the Lord, and He holds the future in His hands. There is no panic in heaven over this pandemic. If you spend all your time perusing the latest news, you will doubtless lose your perspective. Focus on the Lord, remember His promises, and all will be well.
  2. Be Prepared. Since no one can say what tomorrow will bring, we would do well to stock up on the essentials we will need. All of us will likely be quarantined to one degree or another. At the very least, we’ll all spend more time at home than usual. So be prepared. Stock up on your prescription drugs. Buy some cleaning supplies. Make sure you have enough food to get through a week or two.
  3. Be ready to share. Keep your eyes open for those in need. This includes senior citizens, the sick, and those who are otherwise overlooked by society. We will all find plenty of opportunities to minister in the days ahead. We need not give in to fear. Take wise precautions, wash your hands, pray for “missionary eyes” to see those who need a word of encouragement, walk by faith, remember God’s promises, and let your light shine.

Hebrews 12:26 tells us that “once more” God will shake the world before the coming of Christ. That perspective helps us think wisely about the coronavirus pandemic. God is using a tiny “microbes” to bring the world to a standstill.

When people ask, “Does God still speak today?” I tell them not to worry about it because he’s got your number on His speed dial, and when he calls, you won’t put him on “call waiting.” He can ring us up any time of the day or night.

Why would God speak to us this way? Hebrews 12:27 says God is shaking everything that can be shaken, all the things built by mankind, so that only unshakable things can remain. Eugene Peterson gave us this paraphrase: “The phrase ‘one last shaking’ means a thorough housecleaning, getting rid of all the historical and religious junk so that the unshakable essentials stand clear and uncluttered.”

Unshakable essentials. That says it all. God is “shaking” the earth so that we will figure out what matters most. Here’s the good news. Out of these “shaky” days will come a vast “spiritual” harvest. People are asking questions because they want to know who they can “trust.” What a wonderful opportunity for ministry is being opened for us.

Don’t “despair” and don’t give in to “fear.” We were made for times like these. Sovereign Lord, you are the “firm foundation” beneath our feet. We trust in you, and we will not be moved. When the kingdoms of the earth “crumble to dust” your words will still be true.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8

As the Coronavirus continues to spread, I’m amazed at the “fear” it is creating in many people’s lives, when “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

I am amazed at how ”fear” has gripped so many people’s lives. My heart has been led to pray that the Lord would use this “pandemic hype” to cause the nations and peoples to realize in a new way Psalm 9:20Strike them with terror, LORD; let the nations know they are only mortal..”

Often in prosperity, we can turn away from total “dependence” upon God and believe that we are in control. In a real way, I believe God wants to humble us in a fresh dependence upon Him. I encourage you to read Palm 91 and ask God to speak to you in the midst of this “pandemic hype of fear.“

I have been wondering what the other end of this looks like. Thus far more people have died on the “highways” this year than from the “apocalyptic” virus infestation in the USA. The deaths from the regular, annual flu” dwarf the number of deaths from the “coronavirus.” We never hear a word about that. Where was the “panic, fear and mass hysteria” when the flu killed thousands of us last year. Yawn, no one cared then, nor cares now.

Obviously, this is totally “agenda” driven. Just like “gun” issues is not about guns. It is about “control.” This is about getting people to accept “Marshal Law” conditions. And the people are bending over and taking it. Eating it up with a spoon. I wonder where all the adults went.

The mandatory “closing of businesses” enrages me. I guess no one is responsible enough to make the decision by themselves. I heard that San Francisco is under “mandatory” self quarantine. The “news” said that people are allowed out of their housing only for visits to the grocers or pharmacy.

I wonder if they can also go outside to move their “bowels” in the street as is their right? What about the massive “homeless” population. Where do they “self quarantine”?

If you’ve been suffering from the Chinese “Wuhan Flu” overload and could use a little boost to get you over the hump read When Wuhan Virus Departs, World Will Be Changed by Michael Walsh. It will give you something to look forward to.

All that is left now is shaking my head at the “Current Truth.” The premise is that this “pandemic tribulation” exposes the shortcomings in many arenas not the least of which is the ongoing battle between the progressive left’s desire to break down every societal tradition.

Trump or God

How Can You Follow Jesus and Support Donald Trump?
By Shane Idleman Pastor, Westside Christian Fellowship

Like many, I’m perplexed by the “divide” in the Christian community over President Trump—but I’m not surprised. The media is fueling “lies” and the world is listening.

This was demonstrated in a worship song by Daniel Deitrich. Talk about the wrong place to express your “political” views. Deitrich’s song was written in response to the 81 percent of white evangelical Protestant voters who supported Donald Trump in 2016.

Here are part of the lyric: “They started putting kids in cages. Ripping mothers from their babies. And I looked to you to speak on their behalf.” Daniel Deitrich is referring here to Barack Obama’s caging of “illegal migrants breaking down the southern borders.”

This, of course, is in response to what is “perceived” to be happening at the border. I assume that Mr. Deitrich is sincere, and his heart truly wants to help people, but we must get our facts from reputable sources or first-hand experience. God willing, I’m touring the border with other California pastors very soon and hope to gain that perspective personally.

Some say, “How can you follow Jesus and Donald Trump?” We are not following a man, we are shaping a movement. A better question to be asking, though, is “What direction is the country heading?”

  • If a leader “lacks” Christian character but is “pointing” the nation back to God, is that a bad thing?
  • If they are “minimizing” murdering babies and “maximizing” godly values, is that a bad thing?
  • If they are being a “terror” to terrorists and making America “secure”, is that a bad thing?
  • If they are honoring “hard” work and minimizing “free” handouts, is that a bad thing?

God doesn’t judge a nation based on the “character” of one man; He judges it based on the “spiritual” health of her people. Never forget that.

I regularly say that we Christians love legal “refugees and immigrants” and are eager to help with “food, lodging, and jobs.” But at the national level, the president is to put the “safety and provision” of the American people first. When an airplane loses cabin pressure, parents put on their “oxygen masks” first to better assist their child. This isn’t selfishness; it’s wisdom.

Opening the borders parallels cabin pressure falling and a limited supply of masks. Our law enforcement officers could not sustain the “illegal” load, nor could our nation. Let’s streamline the process and welcome God-fearing “legal” immigrants and have them “contribute” to society so everyone benefits. The truth is, “kids are not being put in cages and ripped from their mothers,” as the song accuses.

The majority of news outlets “spin” everything to put President Trump in a “bad” light. Their “hatred” for him trumps the “truth.” Their agenda is simple and clear: “remove him from office at any cost!” And I hope you realize this: “they are really coming after you, me, and our Christian values.”

The push toward “open” borders is more about ”votes” than truly “helping” people. Open borders would be like me telling my kids to leave their “windows” open in case a stranger needs a “warm” night’s sleep. That would be severe parental “neglect” because many “harmful” things could also enter through those open windows. Open borders would parallel that type of “irresponsibility.”

Additionally, our “financial” system cannot support people flooding in who need “assistance.” How is that using wisdom? It’s not a matter of if this type of financial “irresponsibility” causes damage but when and how much. Our California representatives in Sacramento need to “wake up” to this fact—and wake up quickly. There is a better way, but our leaders must “repent and seek God for wisdom.”

Most critics don’t “care” what the facts are. Their “hatred” for the president overshadows their “desperate” need for “humility.”

Let this sink in:

  • innocent children are being protected,
  • godly counsel is surrounding President Trump,
  • terror is being restrained,
  • good judges are being selected,
  • socialism is being resisted,
  • families are being encouraged via employment,
  • black employment is at an all-time high,
  • prayer is being brought back in schools,
  • God’s wisdom is being sought,
  • and on and on it goes.

So again, we are not following a man, we are “revitalizing” a movement, a movement “back” to God. I’m more concerned with our nation’s “national” character than I am with the president’s “personal” character.

An analogy that I often use will bring this point home. The head of a “neighborhood” watch program, who took the late-night watches, had previously had an “affair.” He was occasionally “gruff and impulsive” and sometimes his words were “crass and offensive”, but he watched over the neighborhood “diligently” each night.

Each week he invited church leaders into his home to “pray” for him and his family and to seek their “advice.” He often stood against others on the committee who wanted to enact “policies” harmful to the neighborhood and to the children, such as advocating an “open-door” policy where residents were required to allow “anyone” into their homes at all hours of the day for handouts.

Is this not the “kind of person” you would want leading your neighborhood watch? Does his past or his “demeanor” matter more than the results he is “accomplishing?” If you are intellectually “honest,” the answer is not difficult.

In the same way, the answer is simple for America. Again, we are not voting for people based on how “godly” they are; we are voting for the “future” direction of America: “the right to life, the elevation of God’s Word back to its proper place, the appointment of conservative judges, securing America and her borders, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life for all Americans.”

As a personal observation, I have noticed that those who “oppose” President Trump typically embrace “liberal” theology. It makes one wonder what is truly leading them: “worldly mandates or biblical principles.”

I will close with what I stated in a brief op-ed: “we can’t have our cake and eat it too,” there is no middle ground for Christians today. You can choose a president who will wear a Planned Parenthood scarf at her inauguration or one of the countless others who would seek to “destroy” the America we know and lead us down the “primrose path of socialism  or worse.

Or you can choose to “back” President Trump. There is no “Plan B.”

Abortion has been a hotly debated “topic” in American culture at least for the past forty years. Proponents on both sides wave statistics and viewpoints that many sincerely believe to be the only right way. For the sake of clarity, let’s define the terms “PRO-CHOICE” and “ANTI-CHOICE.”

For the purposes of this post, “PRO-CHOICE” is defined as “the belief that a woman should have the legal right to abort her unborn child at any point in the pregnancy.” Pro-choice advocates believe abortion is a “personal” decision and should not be limited by the government or anyone else.

For the purposes of this post, “ANTI-CHOICE” is defined as “the belief that every human life is sacred and no one, including the mother, has the right to end an innocent life.” Anti-choice advocates hold the view that life from the moment of “conception” should be protected.

I’m not arguing the “morality” of PRO-CHOICE or the “venality” of ANTI- CHOICE because like everything else in life it depends on your “faith” believe.

If you are a Bible believing Christian, you are someone who has accepted God’s offer of forgiveness through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Salvation is a gift of God through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ (John 3:16-18; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9). What we believe about other things is a matter of growth, not of salvation. However, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “If any man/women be in Christ, he/she is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” When we give our lives to Christ, God begins to change us: “our way of thinking and our way of behaving” (see Isaiah 55:7). Our bodies become the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19). Our minds are renewed through the truth of God’s Word (Romans 12:1-2). Our attitudes, perspectives, and behaviors gradually change to be more like those of Christ (Romans 8:29; Galatians 5:22).

This transformation doesn’t happen overnight. Many Christians are still what the apostle Paul called “carnal” (1 Corinthians 3:1-3; Romans 8:6). Carnal Christians trust in Jesus for salvation, but they still think, act, and react like the world. Often, they are new to the faith or simply have not allowed the Holy Spirit free access to every area of their hearts. They are trying to live the Christian life in their own strength, while still being heavily influenced by the world’s way of thinking. The carnal mind has not been fully renewed by the Word of God and still seeks compromise with the world (James 4:4). Carnal Christians allow the persuasive viewpoints of the ungodly to sway their opinions on many things, including abortion. Spiritual growth requires us to shed our old ways of thinking as we become more like Christ. We begin to see things the way God does, and the closer to Him we become, the less we agree with the world’s system (Psalm 1:1-2). If a person continually refuses to allow the Word of God to transform his thinking, chances are great that he is not really a Bible believing Christian (Romans 8:14).

“Pro-choice” advocates state that the Bible does not address abortion, so the decision should be the individual’s. While it is true that the term “abortion” does not appear in the Bible, the principles about the “value of life” are there. In Exodus 21:22-23, God wrote into His Law protection for the “unborn.” If a pregnant woman was injured, causing her to lose her child, then the one who caused the injury was to be executed: “a life for a life.” The phrase “life for a life” says a lot. God considers the life of the “unborn” just as valuable as that of a grown person.

God said to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you” (Jeremiah 1:5). It was God who created him for a specific purpose. Psalm 139:13-16 gives us the clearest picture of God’s viewpoint on the unborn. David writes, “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. . . . My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret. . . .Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, before one of them came to be.”

The Bible is clear that all “human” life is created by God for His purpose and His pleasure (Colossians 1:16), and a Christian who truly wants to know the heart of God must align his or her viewpoint with God’s. When we start justifying “evil” according to our understanding, we “dilute” the truth of God’s Word. When we rename adultery an “affair,” homosexuality an “alternative lifestyle,” and murder of the unborn a “choice,” we are headed for serious trouble. We cannot “redefine” what it means to follow Christ. Jesus said we must first “deny ourselves” (Matthew 16:24; Luke 9:23). Part of denying ourselves is letting go of comfortable “lies” the world has fed us. We have to let go of our own understanding and allow God to change us (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Some “pro-choice” advocates argue that they are not “pro-abortion.” They say they hate abortion, but support a woman’s right to choose. This makes as much sense as saying that you personally hate “rape,” but support a man’s “right” to commit it. The rhetoric sounds nice—the mention of “choice” makes it more appealing—but underneath is a direct “conflict” with God’s viewpoint in Scripture.

“Pro-choice” advocates often state that their position is “compassionate” and that pro-lifers don’t care about the woman or her child. This argument is a “red herring.” Whether pro-lifers “care” or not is irrelevant, just as it is irrelevant whether those opposed to robbery “care” about the banks being robbed. Robbery is against God’s “moral” law. So is abortion. And that’s the issue.

The Bible is clear. Since God is the “Creator” of human life, only He can determine who lives or dies. And every person who claims the name of Christ has the obligation to make certain his or her views line up with His Word. Is it possible for a born-again Christian to be “pro-choice”? Yes. Is it likely that such a person will remain “pro-choice”? Not if he or she is allowing God’s Word to “transform and renew” his or her mind (Romans 12:2).

Proper sexual “education” is the key in preventing “unwanted” pregnancies. If you’re “pro-life”, you should also be for all means necessary to prevent an “unwanted” pregnancy. As a Bible believing Christian I cannot make these wrenching personal “life and death” decisions for others. I believe that a woman has a right, responsibility, and requirement to choose: “a choice to keep her knees together or rear a child.” That personal, practical, and profound choice would “solve most of the abortion problems.”

Fyodor Dostoevsky,  author of “Crime and Punishment” said, “If God is dead, then nothing is morally wrong.” But God is not dead; I spoke with Him this morning. Those who kill the “innocent” will also meet with Him!

No, You Cannot be a “Pro-Choice” Christian

Why the Gun Is Civilization 01

Why the Gun is Civilization
by Marko Kloos March 23, 2007

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force.

If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force.

Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that’s it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion.

Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single gay guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats.

The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we’d be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a mugger to do his job.

That, of course, is only true if the mugger’s potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat–it has no validity when most of a mugger’s potential marks are armed.

People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that’s the exact opposite of a civilized society.

A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

Then there’s the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways.

Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.

People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don’t constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst.

The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

The gun is the only weapon that’s as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weightlifter. It simply wouldn’t work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn’t both lethal and easily employable.

When I carry a gun, I don’t do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I’m looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded.

I don’t carry it because I’m afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn’t limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force.

It removes force from the equation…and that’s why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Washington Monument

Posted in uncategorized with tags , , , , on August 6, 2015 by andelino

As frightening weather has been “hitting” Washington, D.C., people across America are “wondering” if God is sick and tired of President Barack Obama and his administration.

In this photo “lightning” strikes the Washington Monument, at its tip, 555 feet in the air, which was “captured” by a photographer at USA Today.

Is there really a God 03

It was taken with a 6-second camera “exposure” that looks slightly “blurry” because of the rain.

God is all-powerful, and can “see” exactly what Obama is “doing” to the greatest country on Earth.

The photo makes you “realize” that God is still in control… and “NOT” Obama. Could this “extreme” weather be a “sign?

Obama should “listen” to God’s warning about his “unholy” agenda.

Is there really a God 02

Since Obama also “disapproves” of the Founding Father, George Washington, who owned “slaves and was seditious,” the Monument that “bears” his name should “either” come down, or be “renamed” after Barack Hussein Obama.

Governing vs. Golf 01
Dear Lord…..“next time please catch Obama on the golf course while he is putting!” AMEN

Democrats vs. Muslim

Democrats vs. Muslim 01

Have you ever “wondered” why Democrats habitually “defend” Muslims?

Dems want “homosexual” marriage, while Muslims want to “kill” all homosexuals.

Dems don’t “believe” in God, while Muslims base all their “actions” on Allah.

Democrats and Muslim 03

So what could possibly make Democrats so “determined” to defend Muslims? Well, beyond the two “things” mentioned above, Democrats and Muslims have “a lot in common”, so it is probably “inevitable” that they would come “together” in the U.S., to advance their related causes.

They both are “carriers” of different, but related, “mind viruses,” that limit their ability to “perceive” reality, and that compel them to “hurt, control and parasitize” non-believers.

Having no “morals” in the first place, and then having your head “screwed” up by mental “malware,” is a good start, to make you “friends” with someone who should be “your” enemy. And it just grows from there.

Here is a list of ten things that “Muslims and Democrats” have in common.

Democrats and Muslim 01

How to tell if you’re a DEMOCRAT

1. If you think that a person is not fully human until he or she has been born, but that apes and dolphins have human rights, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
2. If you think that oil wells should be drilled in Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Nigeria, Libya, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Venezuela, Qatar, Indonesia and Kuwait, but not in the United States, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
3. If you need the government to help you pay for your housing, food, medical care, abortions and birth control, but you somehow have enough money to pay for your beer, cigarettes, marijuana and tattoos, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
4. If you think that it is cruel and immoral to remove a baby’s foreskin after he’s born, but you’re happy removing his brains before he’s born, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
5. If you think that George Bush steered a hurricane into New Orleans and blew up the levees, while Barack Obama lowered the sea level and healed the planet, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
6. If you think that Federal agents should be sent into public schools to inspect a lunch that a kid’s mother made for him or her, and then confiscate it if it’s allegedly not healthy enough, but that people who receive Food Stamps should not be tested for drugs, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
7. If you think that you’re saving the planet when you drive an electric car that gets its electricity from a power plant that burns fossil fuel, but you think that you’re killing the planet when you drive a car that burns its own fossil fuel, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
8. If you think that burning a Koran is a “hate crime”, but that submerging a crucifix in a jar of urine is a “work of art”, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
9. If you claim that building a pipeline from Canada to the United States is bad for the environment, but you think it’s funny when Occupy wall street protestors leave their urine, feces and tons of trash in public parks, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
10. If you think that American soldiers are baby killers, but that abortionists are healthcare providers, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
11. If you think that it’s wrong to export American jobs to foreign countries, but that it’s right to import foreign workers to take American jobs in America, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
12. If you think that foreigners who sneak into America and who work illegally and who don’t pay taxes are “contributing to America”, but that law-abiding American citizens should pay more taxes so that they can “give back to America”, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
13. If you think that it’s right for America to import most of her oil, which causes paychecks to go to foreigners in foreign countries, but that it’s wrong for America to produce her own oil, which causes paychecks to go to Americans in America, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
14. If you were outraged when Bush was in office and gasoline cost $4.00 a gallon, but you’re strangely silent when Obama is in office and gasoline costs $5.00 a gallon, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
15. If you think that illegal aliens should be permitted to get a license to drive, but that American citizens should not be permitted to even show a license when they vote, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
16. If you think that Homeland Security should be stopping American citizens and checking their IDs at the airports, bus stations, train stations and interstate highways, but that nobody should be stopping anyone at America’s borders, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
17. If you think that American citizens who commit crimes should be sent to prison, even if it means breaking up their families, but foreigners who sneak into America should not be sent home, if it means breaking up their families, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
18. If you think that people who work a lot and pay their own bills should have to pay more taxes, so that people who don’t work can have a more convenient sex life with taxpayer-provided birth control, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
19. If you think that kids should have to show a birth certificate to join a sports team, but that it’s crazy for adults to have to show a birth certificate to hold a Federal office, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
20. If you’re opposed to eating meat because you think it’s cruel to animals, but you’re all in favor of doing medical research on aborted people, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
21. If you think that American citizens are just too poor to pay for their own ID cards, but you want to give illegal aliens a chance to get their own driver’s licenses, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
22. If you think that the government should have to give out free, Food Stamps, Welfare and WIC payments, but that McDonald’s should be prevented from giving out free toys to kids, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
23. If you think that it’s wrong to cut back on your local police, but that it’s right to cut back on America’s military, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
24. If you think that everything that went wrong was Bush’s fault, but nothing that goes wrong is Obama’s fault, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
25. If you object to American citizens owning guns in America, but you don’t mind that Obama’s Attorney General gave guns to Mexican citizens in Mexico, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
26. If you think that it’s wrong for America to be the leading power in the world, but you want your party to be the leading power in America, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
27. If you think that an American who uses a fake ID should be given a jail sentence, but that an illegal alien who uses a fake ID should be given a job, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
28. If you think that it was wrong for Bush to attack Iraq, even though he had Congressional approval, but that it was right for Obama to attack Libya, even though he did not have Congressional approval, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
29. If you don’t know who the fathers of your babies are, nor expect any support from the men you had sex with, but you know where the Welfare office is, and you expect money from taxpayers who don’t even know you, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.
30. If you cry when someone cuts down a tree, but you laugh when an American soldier is killed in combat, then YOU’RE PROBABLY A DEMOCRAT.

What’s the difference between “Illegal Aliens and Democrats?”

Illegal aliens “love” their own countries, but then they “leave” them so that they can come “work” in America, while Democrats “hate” their own country, “won’t” leave it and don’t want to “work” in America.

How to Offend Democrats

Guaranteed to “offend” Democrats, to get you “screamed” at and be called a “Racist.”

Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments 02

The Ten Commandments 03

God went to the “Arabs” and said,
“I have Commandments for you that will make your lives better.”
The Arabs asked, “What are Commandments?”
And the Lord said, “They are rules for living.”
“Can you give us an example?”
“Thou shall not kill.”
“Not kill? We’re not interested.”

The Ten Commandments 04
So He went to the “Blacks” and said,
“I have Commandments for you that will make your lives better.”
The Blacks wanted an example, and the Lord said,
“Honor thy Father and Mother.”
“Father? We don’t know who our fathers are.
We’re not interested.”

The Ten Commandments 05

Then He went to the “LGBTFQAPBCU©” community and said,
“I have Commandments for you that will make your lives better.”
The LGBTFQAPBCU© community also wanted an example.
And the Lord said “’Thou shall not covet.”
“What no homosexuality? We’re not interested.”

The Ten Commandments 08

Then He went to the “Mexicans” and said,
“I have Commandments for you that will make your lives better.”
The Mexicans also wanted an example.
And the Lord said “’Thou shall not steal.”
“Not steal? We’re not interested.”

The Ten Commandments 06

Then He went to the “French” and said,
“I have Commandments for you that will make your lives better.”
The French too wanted an example.
And the Lord said, “Thou shall not commit adultery.”
“Sacre bleu!!! Not commit adultery? We’re not interested.”

The Ten Commandments 07

Finally, He went to the “Jews” and said,
“I have Commandments for you that will make your lives better.”
“Commandments?” They said, “How much are they?”
“They’re free.”
“We’ll take all ten.”

There you have it! That should “tick off” just about everybody.
