Free Hugs in Arizona

Posted in uncategorized with tags , , , on June 17, 2019 by andelino

When Officer “Aaron Little” of the Chandler Police Department in Arizona approached a 26-year-old “suicidal” male on the edge of a pedestrian bridge, he handled the “situation” in a way that has many in tears.

The kind officer “promised” to give the struggling man a “hug” if he climbed back to safety. After supportive words were exchanged, the young man “embraced” the cop, letting out “sobs” as the officer comforted him.

In the early evening a 26-year-old male “climbed” the protective railing of a pedestrian bridge that spans the Price Freeway with the “intent” to jump.

Officer Little of the Chandler Police Department arrived at the bridge and, after developing a “rapport” with the suicidal male, Officer Little was able to “convince” him to climb off the railing and back to the safety of the bridge.

While this incident is extraordinary, the “compassion” Officer Little showed is a common “occurrence” not only with the men and women of the Chandler Police Department, but all Police Departments.

It’s something that is not “recognized” often enough by many, and not at all by others.
