Considering that Antifa/BLM has been protesting and demanding Ted Wheeler, Portland’s current mayor to resign, longtime Portland community organizer Sarah Iannarone has made no secret of her “political” ambitions.
She declared last year that “I am Antifa” and wryly embraced the “Antifa Mayor” label.
Portland’s next mayor could be an open supporter of “Antifa,” the violent, far-left “Marxist” movement whose members have unleashed “violence” in cities across America.
Left-wing activist Sarah Iannarone will face incumbent gay Democratic Mayor Ted Wheeler in a runoff election on November 3 after neither candidate received a majority of votes in the first round of voting.
Sarah Iannarone is a Democratic Socialist. Wheeler beat Iannarone in the first round of voting, but has faced criticism from both sides of the political spectrum over his handling of the city’s nightly unrest, which has included nearly 30 riots since late May.
Trump has criticized Wheeler for not embracing federal assistance to quell the city’s riots, while left-wing activists have accused Wheeler of being too tough on demonstrators. Local progressive activists have called for Wheeler’s resignation, but the mayor has said he has no plans to step down.
Iannarone, whose platform includes a “Housing for All” plank and a pledge to slash the city’s “police funding”, identified herself as a member of the Antifa movement in a January 2019 tweet.
“To those who say Antifa are violent thugs: I am not a violent thug and I am Antifa. I am Antifa because the Red Hats are coming after brown and black people, after Jews, after queer and trans people, and more. They are coming after our democracy,” she wrote.
“Peaceful protests, in my opinion, might not necessarily be moving the conversation forward,” Iannarone said during a wide-ranging interview on KGW’s Straight Talk.
This is great news. We cannot rely upon the “voting booth” to deliver us the “revolution” we need! Scaring the masses away from the voting and using “mail fraud” will never be enough.
Firebombs, Molotov’s, beatings and murder is necessary. We need to expand the revolution to the suburbs and uproot the privileged “white crackers” from their comfy suburban homes and hand them over to the “poor, deprived, oppressed blacks and Socialists. “
Not to be left out, liberal Oregon Governor Kate Brown begged for police help from outside of Portland but everyone said no! She requested Oregon sheriffs send their deputies to Portland to be sacrificial lambs for the violent far left protesters and abusive liberal courts, but the sheriffs defied the request.
Governor Brown and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler have repeatedly denied offers from President Trump to send in the National Guard to solve the problem in a few hours.
They would rather see the city completely destroyed before they take the president up on his offer. They are committed US progressives — “crazy, arrogant and very, very dangerous.”
The governor made the request after a Trump supporter was gunned down in cold blood by a far left Antifa activist. Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts said the governor did not even bother to call him. He will not be sending his deputies into the progressive cesspool.
As calls for Portland “Mayor” Ted Wheeler to resign increase, the rioters have once again taken to causing a scene out front of his condo in the ritzy Pearl District.
This time they smashed out the windows and tried to set the place on fire. Evidently this was the mayor’s birthday, and this was the party Antifa threw for him.

Since we’re talking about “symbolism,” and given the long hot “summer of love” being celebrated in Blue cities across the land, especially in Portland, these “BBQ novelties” below struck me as decidedly appropriate for this Labor Day weekend’s “backyard” weenie roast.
