Welcome To The Year 2030

Author’s note: Some people have read this blog as my utopia or dream of the future. It is not. It is a scenario showing where we could be heading – for better and for worse. I wrote this piece to start a discussion about some of the pros and cons of the current technological development. When we are dealing with the future, it is not enough to work with reports. We should start discussions in many new ways. This is the intention with this piece.

Welcome to the year 2030. Welcome to my city – or should I say, “our city”. I don’t own anything. I don’t own a car. I don’t own a house. I don’t own any appliances or any clothes. It might seem odd to you, but it makes perfect sense for us in this city. Everything you considered a product, has now become a service. We have access to transportation, accommodation, food and all the things we need in our daily lives. One by one all these things became free, so it ended up not making sense for us to own much.

First communication became digitized and free to everyone. Then, when clean energy became free, things started to move quickly. Transportation dropped dramatically in price. It made no sense for us to own cars anymore, because we could call a driver-less vehicle or a flying car for longer journeys within minutes. We started transporting ourselves in a much more organized and coordinated way when public transport became easier, quicker and more convenient than the car. Now I can hardly believe that we accepted congestion and traffic jams, not to mention the air pollution from combustion engines. What were we thinking?

Sometimes I use my bike when I go to see some of my friends. I enjoy the exercise and the ride. It kind of gets the soul to come along on the journey. Funny how some things seem never seem to lose their excitement: walking, biking, cooking, drawing and growing plants. It makes perfect sense and reminds us of how our culture emerged out of a close relationship with nature.

Environmental problems seem far away  

In our city we don’t pay any rent, because someone else is using our free space whenever we do not need it. My living room is used for business meetings when I am not there.

Once in awhile, I will choose to cook for myself. It is easy – the necessary kitchen equipment is delivered at my door within minutes. Since transport became free, we stopped having all those things stuffed into our home. Why keep a pasta-maker and a crepe cooker crammed into our cupboards? We can just order them when we need them.

This also made the breakthrough of the circular economy easier. When products are turned into services, no one has an interest in things with a short life span. Everything is designed for durability, reparability and recyclability. The materials are flowing more quickly in our economy and can be transformed to new products pretty easily. Environmental problems seem far away, since we only use clean energy and clean production methods. The air is clean, the water is clean and nobody would dare to touch the protected areas of nature because they constitute such value to our well being. In the cities we have plenty of green space and plants and trees all over. I still do not understand why in the past we filled all free spots in the city with concrete.

The death of shopping

Shopping? I can’t really remember what that is. For most of us, it has been turned into choosing things to use. Sometimes I find this fun, and sometimes I just want the algorithm to do it for me. It knows my taste better than I do by now.

When AI and robots took over so much of our work, we suddenly had time to eat well, sleep well and spend time with other people. The concept of rush hour makes no sense anymore, since the work that we do can be done at any time. I don’t really know if I would call it work anymore. It is more like thinking-time, creation-time and development-time.

For a while, everything was turned into entertainment and people did not want to bother themselves with difficult issues. It was only at the last minute that we found out how to use all these new technologies for better purposes than just killing time.

They live different kinds of lives outside of the city

My biggest concern is all the people who do not live in our city. Those we lost on the way. Those who decided that it became too much, all this technology. Those who felt obsolete and useless when robots and AI took over big parts of our jobs. Those who got upset with the political system and turned against it. They live different kind of lives outside of the city. Some have formed little self-supplying communities. Others just stayed in the empty and abandoned houses in small 19th century villages.  

Once in awhile I get annoyed about the fact that I have no real privacy. No where I can go and not be registered. I know that, somewhere, everything I do, think and dream of is recorded. I just hope that nobody will use it against me. 

All in all, it is a good life. Much better than the path we were on, where it became so clear that we could not continue with the same model of growth. We had all these terrible things happening: lifestyle diseases, climate change, the refugee crisis, environmental degradation, completely congested cities, water pollution, air pollution, social unrest and unemployment. We lost way too many people before we realized that we could do things differently.

Over the past weeks, a lot has been talked about the “Great Reset.” Ezra Levant referred to an essay published by the World Economic Forum in 2017, imagining what our best lives should look like in the year 2030.

The bizarre video that the World Economic Forum published talked about a world without property ownership, a world without meat, weirdly; a world where, really, you would be a bit less of a person and a bit more of an ant in an ant colony.

How can that possibly be? No sane person would say that.

A working definition of slavery is that you do not own the fruits of your labor — someone else just takes it.

And the right to privacy — it’s an ancient right, actually. We use the term more expansively now than in history; the idea of vast government or corporate databases is new; tracking our online activities is new. But the idea of privacy — of having a place where others can’t be with you, can’t look at you, can’t track you — is ancient. One of them is the castle doctrine — a man’s home is his castle. Not even the king or queen can enter a man’s house without cause or without warning. So the idea of no-knock raids by police — that’s illegal, has been for centuries.

You also have the right to privacy about your life; you have the right to keep certain confidences. That’s ancient, too — you could even say it’s connected to the law against self-incrimination. As in, you can’t be compelled to testify against yourself.

So that’s what the World Economic Forum’s Global Reset wants to destroy.

Everything you considered a product, has now become a service. We have access to transportation, accommodation, food and all the things we need in our daily lives. One by one all these things became free, so it ended up not making sense for us to own much.

All in all, it is a good life. Yeah, I think that’s called “communism and globalism.”

Ezra Levant was at a speech by Peter Thiel back in the before times, and he said a startling thing. Peter is a tech giant, the inventor of PayPal, the first outside investor in Facebook, probably the closest thing to a freedom-fighter in Silicon Valley, in fact he left the city because he said he found it too politically stifling.

Anyway, Peter Thiel said: “what scientific breakthroughs have we had in the past fifty years?” We haven’t been on the moon in nearly 50 years. What’s the breakthrough? Have we cured cancer? Where are the flying cars?

And as to tech and smart phones, which is his area of excellence, he said “smart phones are basically little distracting video games we can play on as we ride through the New York subway system that was built 100 years ago.”

I was stunned by that — we are entertaining ourselves, numbing ourselves. That’s what tech has done.

Considering the state of conservatism in national politics today reminds me of one of an old “anti-war anthem” from yesterday. 

The rioting and protests in many U.S. cities today are a direct result of cultural changes that began in American college campuses in the 1930s. Although it sounds like a conspiracy theory, the teachings of these Marxists slowly permeated Western culture over decades to break down order.

Order, above all else, is what conservatives believe in. For example, knowledge is necessary to live a rational life. Contrast that with the subjective view that there are no standards of truth beyond personal feelings or thoughts, which holds true for tomorrow’s leaders.

This is where decades of Marxist inoculations by people like Antonio Gramsci, Georg Lukács, Theodor Adorno, Max Horkmeir and Herbert Marcuse left U.S. college educators.

By the way, the aforementioned “scholars” drew their conclusions without data or applying their models to the Soviet Union or China.

Conservatism’s latest stand was with the 2000 presidential election when Pat Buchanan ran on the Reform Party ticket. He ran as a faith-based, pro-life, pro-family platform. Buchanan opposed the North American Free Trade Agreement, the World Trade Organization, illegal immigration and foreign entanglements.

The party had not taken a position on abortion and this led several who followed Ross Perot to the party in 1996 to withdraw.

Donald Trump also ran for the Reform nomination, at least for a few weeks, in 2000. Candidate Trump labeled himself “very conservative,” but supported universal healthcare and suing alcohol corporations and tobacco corporations.

Trump may call himself a conservative, but what has he attempted to conserve in the past four years?

Historians point to 1964 as the beginning of the modern conservative movement. Sen. Barry Goldwater’s victory over Gov. Nelson Rockefeller for the GOP presidential nomination spelled doom for Republicans that year, but it allowed libertarians a voice at the table.

Two speeches laid the cornerstone of the movement. Both cited the religious faith of conservatism’s followers, order and limited government.

The most often quoted quirk from the acceptance is, “I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice!” Considering Goldwater’s reference to atomic warfare during the campaign, it is easy to see why that scared people.

Had the country employed Goldwater’s next line, many of today’s problems may have been different. “And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!”

Goldwater’s speechwriter, Ronald Reagan, delivered possibly the strongest speech of the campaign on Oct. 27, 1964, in Los Angeles. “…You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well, I’d like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There’s only an up or down: up man’s old — old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism,” he said at one point.

Democrats “have voices that say, ‘The cold war will end through our acceptance of a not undemocratic socialism.’ Another voice says, ‘The profit motive has become outmoded. It must be replaced by the incentives of the welfare state.’ Or, ‘Our traditional system of individual freedom is incapable of solving the complex problems of the 20th century.’ Sen. J. William Fulbright has said at Stanford University that the Constitution is outmoded. He referred to the president as ‘our moral teacher and our leader,’ and he says he is ‘hobbled in his task by the restrictions of power imposed on him by this antiquated document.’ He must ‘be freed,’ so that he ‘can do for us’ what he knows ‘is best.’ And Sen. Joseph Clark of Pennsylvania, another articulate spokesman, defines liberalism as ‘meeting the material needs of the masses through the full power of centralized government.’”

Fifty-six years later it is clear to see which side is winning.

Having lived through the Carter, Clinton, Bush and Obama presidencies, we have come to the realization that nothing good ever comes from a Democrat President.

Biden is a walking disaster and would be worse than Obama if that’s possible. Biden will be just one more jackass in the long line of jackasses post-JFK. The radical Democrats do not solve problems, they create problems and then tell you they will “solve” the problem that they created “IF” you vote for them.

You are seeing this right now as Biden claims he will create jobs for the American people, “Build Back Better”, after the Democrats and their lockdowns destroyed Trump’s economy.  Luckily for us, we the people see through this and realize the Democrats will say and do anything to regain power and once they achieve it, they won’t let go.

Anyone who criticizes a future Democrat President will be a “racist” or a “conspiracy theorist” or a “sexist bigot”. Any future Republican President will be a “racist” or the “election was stolen” or “white nationalist”.

The sides are chosen and the dye cast. No choice has ever been clearer. Election 2020 pits two diametrically opposed forms of government and economic systems against each other. On the one hand we have our “republican form of government”, where all power belongs to the people. It is driven by its economic engine, “Capitalism” with its free markets and individual ownership of property.

The centerpiece of our Republic, our Constitution, limits the reach of government and codifies that our rights are God given and therefore, unalienable. These rights are ours from the moment of our conception and cannot be infringed by government. This choice is championed by our President.

On the other hand, we have “Marxism”, which is represented by Joe Biden. Marxism seeks to transform the political, economic, and social structures of capitalism into a socialist society and ultimately into communism. In Marxism, all power resides in the state.

To accomplish his promised transformation, Biden and the Democrats must, whether by coercion and/or force, strip power from the people and transfer it to the state of Marxists. Marxists rule, they do not govern. Not surprisingly, Marxism, socialism and communism have left a legacy of death and destruction everywhere they have been tried.

If you doubt my description of where the party of pessimism, death, and destruction stands, you have not been paying attention. Joe Biden and the Democrats have supported, by acclamation or affirmation, lockdowns, riots, looting, closing of churches, destruction of the nuclear family, defunding the police, an end to freedom of speech, assembly and religion, abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, the demonization of an entire race of people and the use of street thugs to forcibly intimidate and silence any opposition.

So far, decent Americans have, for the most part, silently surrendered their sovereignty to Democrat politicians and government officials in the name of public health and social justice. If we continue to do so, the Democrats will win. Their promised transformation will lead to a new normal that will not seem normal to many of us.

If we hope to preserve our way of life, we must find our courage and demand a return to our constitutional moorings and way of life. To summon the strength to do so, perhaps we need to realize that, at its core, this is an attack on our parents, grandparents, and children. Let us, therefore, look to each of them for strength.

In drawing strength from our past, let us remember the lives and legacy of those in our families who came before us. Unlike the false narrative of white privilege, my grandparents, like so many others, risked everything to come to America to live in freedom. They left everything behind but a deep abiding faith in God and endured sickness, far beyond Covid, famine, prejudice, deadly cold, disease, poverty and more to forge a great nation.

They loved this country and were proud to be Americans. Despite these and other hardships they remained optimistic and proud and carried that pride of country into battles for independence, to unite our nation and free the slaves, to liberate nations from Nazism, Marxism, Communism, and Islamic Jihad.

They proudly passed the torch of freedom on to their children, my parents, and went to their graves in peace knowing they has preserved the American Dream for their children and grandchildren.

My parents and grandparents are/were brave, patriotic people to whom the thought of donning a mask and cowering in fear from a mutation of the common cold and surrendering the American Dream to the dictates of a governor or other government official would have been unthinkable.

They would be embarrassed to know that their children and grandchildren are so frightened by a flu like virus that we are willingly and sheepishly surrendering the legacy they fought for and preserved for us and generations yet to come.

If we believe in honoring the lives of those we loved, who sacrificed so much for us, then we must get off our knees, stiffen our spines, throw away our masks and speak out loudly and clearly.

In addition to drawing strength from our past, we can draw strength from our future by remembering our role as protectors of our children. Do we want our children to inherit the America our grandparents and parents left for us or the one we are forging now? Isn’t it past time we protect our children from the death cult of Democrat politicians and government officials?

Since March, we have shamefully allowed these politicians and officials to abuse our children by terrifying them with masks, lockdowns, riots, and looting’s. We have allowed these politicians to shatter our children’s sense of safety and security and deny them their loved ones, friends, proms, school, activities, and all that makes childhood special.

Our children, with our implicit consent, are being abused to keep panic and chaos alive until the election because Democrats hope that fearful people will vote for their transformation. If President Trump loses, we will not get another chance.

Despite the silence of the decent folks, my faith informs me that most of us are taking note of who is slandering our parents and grandparents and abusing our children. It is my sense that decent folks, who may be too fearful to act now, will settle the score on Election Day.

The abuse we are enduring at the hands of home-grown despots has worn our patience thin and is beginning to rouse our inner strength, pride, and heroism. We will take the fight to these enemies of our Constitution, not on land, air, or sea but at the ballot box.

After victory on 11/3 for President Trump and all Republican candidates, let us continue the fight on social media, in classrooms, workplaces, and houses of worship across our great land and destroy the wicked ideology known as Marxism, once and for all.

It’s up to us now. Wake up. Speak up as if your life depends on it because it does.

We Were Warned, Now What?

Yuri Bezmenov along with many others warned us about the direction our country was going. Bezmenov was a former KGB informant and defector who fled to the west. He tried to explain and warn us, in an interview in 1984, about the truth behind “ideological subversion” along with when it began in the United States.

In his video Bezmenov said demoralization started in America 25 years prior to the video airing, around 1949. Bezmenov’s discussion on the “Stages of Communist Takeover” can be seen here.

The four stages of  Ideological Subversion are: Demoralization, Destabilization, Crisis and Normalization.

Stage 1: Demoralization 

It takes from fifteen to twenty years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years which requires to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of the enemy. In other words, Marxist-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counter-balanced by the basic values of Americanism, American patriotism.

Bezmenov said Demoralization started around 25 years prior to his interview. Around that time the Frankfurt School of social theory began in the West.  Some of the main proponents of the school included Antonio Gramsci, Herbert Marcuse, Erich Fromm, Theodor Adorno, and Max Horkheimer, all of which were exiles to the West when Hitler came into power and all were supporters of Karl Marx. These men became writers, professors at Ivy League Universities, intelligence analysts for what is now the CIA. Here is a well-detailed timeline of The Frankfurt School . These are the perfect jobs for a Marxist to begin indoctrinating youth into the beliefs of communism.

The subversion was hard to see at first so it went unnoticed but can be easily traced to the thought processes of the children from the 1950s.  These ideals were implemented:

  1. The creation of racism offenses.
  2.  Continual change to create confusion.
  3.  The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children.  
  4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority.  
  5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.  
  6. The promotion of excess drinking.  
  7. Emptying of Churches.
  8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime.  
  9. Dependency on the state or state benefits.  
  10. Control of media.  
  11.  Encouraging the breakdown of the family.

An entire generation was indoctrinated with these core principals who become the “flower children” of the ’60s.  They grew up into adults who hated everything about American religion, tradition, and capitalism.  They took power in the ’70s and ’80s. Simply put during this stage the subversion focuses on destroying the moral fabric of a nation through control of the media and academia. It began specifically in the United States by destroying Christianity and its influence in society, along with all the other fabrics associated with morals and values listed above: numbers 1 – 11.

Joseph McCarthy was born on November 14, 1908, near Appleton, Wisconsin. In 1946 he was elected to the U.S. Senate, and in 1950 he publicly charged that 205 communists had infiltrated the U.S. State Department. Reelected in 1952, he became chair of the Senate’s subcommittee on investigations, and for the next two years, he investigated various government departments and questioned innumerable witnesses, resulting in what would be known as the Red Scare.

C.S. Lewis also tried to warn us about the dangers and infiltration of communism in the Abolition of Man and his 1945 masterpiece, That Hideous Strength.  In spite of the warnings we received, we blew them off as conspiracy theories or just blatantly ignored them, and so the subversion continued unchallenged.

Yuri Bezmenov explained that demoralization is important because it robs the targeted population of its ability to process valid information. Even when demoralization targets are “showered with authentic proof” of contrary positions, they simply “refuse to believe it.” He continued,

The result? The result you can see. Most of the people who graduated in the sixties, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system. You are stuck with them. You cannot get rid of them.

They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern.

You cannot change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black. You cannot change the basic perception and illogical behavior. In other words, these people, the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible. To rid society of these people you need another twenty or fifteen years to educate a new generation of patriotically-minded and common sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interests of United States society.

Demoralization is obvious today in young people who have had faith in their country destroyed by the media and education. The 1619 project is a good example of the propaganda being instill in education today. They have rewritten history and argue that American History actually began with the arrival of black slaves. They say the Revolutionary War was fought by the colonists to preserve slavery and so on. Even though the 1619 Project has been discredited by historians, and the original author admitted what she wrote wasn’t true, the 1619 Project is still implemented in many schools across the nation.

Guilt is another word used to summarize demoralization. In America, we are always urged to feel guilty about our history or our society. Left-wing politicians and academia both find guilt as the most powerful weapon in their arsenal. They have to make people feel guilty and deserving of punishment in order to expand their punitive government power. According to Bezmenov demoralization occurred before 1985.

Stage 2: Destabilization

This stage is much faster and only requires two to five years or less in this case according to the KGB doctrine. This is the stage where the economy, foreign relations, and defense are all attacked. Since the population is already demoralized nothing they would say or do would amount to much of a defense.  The purpose of destabilization is to change the existing state of the country. The government uses a variety of components to expand into a huge bureaucracy that infringes on the civil liberties of the people. The government may offer entitlements in an effort to get the people to go along with these “changes.”

The economy in the United States has steadily weakened for more than 30 years due to corruption combined with the merging of government and Wall Street. The American middle class is basically on the verge of extinction. This step is necessary for Marxists to gain power in politics. The idea is to make men reliant on government and angry, at the same time remove their means to provide food and shelter. That is Marxism 101 at its finest. It is no coincidence that two candidates for president in 2016 were a populist and a communist. Lucky for us the populist won.

The destabilizing of foreign policy has chiefly been accomplished through the neo-con policy of intervention.  As a result of the world in a constant state of war, refugees will seek shelter in rich Western countries which is part of the one-world plan by Cultural Marxists. Countries that experience mass immigration become prime for communist assimilation. You will now when a country is demoralized and destabilized because the people or culture no longer have anything or very little in common; that’s what happened with the Roman Empire.

Bezmenov in 1984 found it “absolutely fantastic” how much Marxist -Leninist influence had developed in the American military and economy.  The population of a demoralized country are willing to believe the worst criticism of its own society. They see defenders of that same society as their enemies and their enemies become their allies. Those that defend are held to unprecedented standards while anything goes for the critics.  Hypocrisy is the obsession of the destabilized population. They view everything as being presented by ominous powers that want to exploit them. Goodwill tends to dissipate from society as hate grows and trust disappears.  People who are demoralized lose faith in their nation, history, ideals, and each other.

Stage 3: Crisis 

The next stage is crisis. It may take only six weeks to bring a country to the verge of crisis. You see it in Central America now. And after crisis, with a violent change in power, structure, and economy, you have the period of so-called normalization will last indefinitely. Normalization is a cynical expression borrowed from Soviet propaganda. When the Soviet tanks moved into Czechoslovakia in ’68, Brezhnev said, “now brother Czechoslovakia is normalized.” This is what will happen in the United States if you allow all these schmucks to promise all the goodies and paradise on earth to destabilize your economy, to eliminate the principle of free market competition, and to put a big brother government in Washington, D.C. with benevolent dictators.

Yuri Bezmenov, if he were alive today, would be shocked how fast “Crisis-Normalization Cycle” was implemented. Every new crisis invented by the Marxist Deep State is designed to strip freedoms away from a distracted, ignorant, and frightened citizens.

The fake news constantly says, “something must be done” to stop crime, inequality, terrorism or any other invented story to make American’s react. With each piece of legislation devised under the guise of keeping us safe from the devil himself, some aspect of the Constitution is shredded.

A cataclysmic event creates fear and division in the nation. Through this crisis comes a revolutionary change in power that can come swiftly. Once a society has been destabilized, Bezmenov said the time would be ripe to create a Crisis, which he estimated would take six to eight weeks.

A crisis has the obvious benefit of panicking demoralized, destabilized people into abandoning their legal protections and constitutional ideals. When the China virus hit, anyone who protested against the lockdowns and brought up those ideals were treated like they were maniacal.  They were even attacked by other Americans who didn’t realize they were trying to protect the rights of all Americans.  Then riots hit and everything went the opposite way.  These people were treated like modern-day gods out to clear the world of all its sick manifestations.

They were suddenly cured of the virus or they made any repercussions from it irrelevant. If you wanted to open your store, go to church, take the kids to a playground you told you were selfish and trying to kill the elderly. When you burned down stores, looted, injured or murdered people no one even mentioned the endangered elderly or cared. The lockdowns and the riots continue and so does the hypocrisy with American’s attacking, shaming, and spying on other American’s.

A crisis can de-legitimize certain aspects of an existing system that have already suffered the consequences of demoralization and destabilization. Anyone who controls communication also controls how or what parts of the system will be affected by the crisis.

An example of the controlled media is the way they avoid any talk about all the riots, destruction, violent crime and the failures of left-wing mayors and governors across the country. They are completely disinterested in even mentioning the incompetence of left-wing Democrat officials while at the same time attacking Republican governors who got everything right from the beginning or are not part of the lockdowns and so on.

Ultimately all the violence we are witnessing, along with the Marxists who destroyed people’s livelihoods, combined with all the people who were injured or murdered, all that, has somehow turned into, “lets remove, defund, eliminate the police and all law enforcement altogether,” along with other nonsense.

Former Obama advisor Rahm Emmanuel said, “never let a crisis go to waste.” Some crazy gunman shoots randomly:  work little by little at the Second Amendment so the Marxists can disarm the citizens and make them defenseless against the power of armed government. An individual who is gay is murdered. Rather than prosecuting the offender for murder, make it a “hate crime” instead to make a favored class of the Marxist scheme more equal under the law than another. The Patriot Act was passed so the CIA can spy on people through computers and other electronic devices.

Stage 4: Normalization 

Crisis is essential in an effort to get the middle class to accept a political agenda that would typically be against its interests, which then leads to the fourth stage of subversion. The offer to make the pain and fear go away by accepting political domination, normalization.

Normalization: A “new normal” is established, the population submits to it, and communism begins to take root in real and lasting ways. Every time something happens they will tell you not to worry, go about your normal routine. They won’t mention you being normalized to accept the way they are taking away your way of life and your freedom. The worst part of it all is the fact that you don’t’ even notice.

C.S. Lewis said, “the safest road to hell is the gradual one – the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts.”

It is obligatory that you recognize this “Crisis-Normalization” that Yuri Bezmenov alludes to. You only learn the truth by opening your mind, seeing the facts before you, and then, and only then, will you see that America has become normalized.

The United States today cannot be recognized from 1949 when Yuri Bezmenov told us all that was the beginning of the ideological subversion. Life now is worse in almost every facet. Culture and art are fully degenerate and ugly, yet we still pay to see them. Standards of living are low, no job security, no pension plans, crappie health care plans, housing costs soar.

Destruction of the nuclear family. Constitution being dismantled. Fear of saying anything; you could lose your job. Intrusion into your personal privacy. There are social engineers inventing things like this. Ubiquity of technology and Orwellian “social media”, isolating people, creating envy and unhappiness.

The only good news is that Bezmenov said it takes 15-20 years to turn a generation back to patriotism. So it can be done. In 2015 with the rise of nationalism to counter political correctness. 2016 with the election of Donald Trump and Brexit, the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU). Reports show Generation Z is the most politically conservative ever.

Let’s be clear.  We could still fail and fall flat to everything Yuri Bezmenov said. The strategic violence unfolding before our very eyes is not part of any social justice and without extreme vigilance, we could still sink. While we sat back and did nothing in the second half the 20th century the indoctrination moved forward exponentially. It is going to take time to undo this but as a country united we could succeed.  No one knows how long it will take to remove the Frankfurt School, Communist ideological subversion from the United States but we have to try. Doing nothing is literally what got us here in the first place.

Yuri Bezmenov died in January 5, 1993. He was 54 years old. He reminds us that “communism” requires patience and perseverance to alter the perceptions of the people. The only way to circumvent it is to practice due diligence and never allow it to go unchallenged.

The Character of a Nation

Like many, I’m perplexed by the “divide” in the Christian community over President Trump, but I’m not surprised. The media is fueling “lies” and the world is listening. This was demonstrated in a worship song by Daniel Deitrich. Talk about the wrong place to express political views. Deitrich’s song was written in response to the 81% of white evangelical Protestant voters who supported Donald Trump in 2016. Here are the lyrics: “They started putting kids in cages. Ripping mothers from their babies. And I looked to you to speak on their behalf.”

This, of course, is in response to what is “perceived” as happening at the border under Barack Obama. I assume that Deitrich is sincere and his heart truly wants to help people, but we must get our facts from reputable sources or first-hand experience.

Some say, “How can you follow Jesus and Donald Trump?” We are not following a man, we are shaping a movement. A better question to be asking, though, is “What direction is the country heading?”

If a leader lacks Christian character but is pointing the nation back to God, is that a bad thing?
If they are minimizing murdering babies and maximizing godly values, is that a bad thing?
If they are being a terror to terrorists and making America secure, is that a bad thing?
If they are honoring hard work and minimizing free handouts, is that a bad thing?

God doesn’t judge a nation based on the “character” of one man; He judges it based on the “spiritual health” of her people. Never forget that.

I regularly say that we Christians love legal “refugees and immigrants” and are eager to help with food, lodging, and jobs. But at the national level, the president is to put the safety and provision of the American people first. When an airplane loses cabin pressure, parents put on their oxygen masks first to better assist their child. This isn’t selfishness; it’s wisdom.

Opening the borders parallels cabin pressure falling and a limited supply of masks. Our law enforcement officers could not sustain the load, nor could our nation. Let’s streamline the process and welcome legal God-fearing immigrants and have them contribute to society so everyone benefits. The truth is, kids are not being put in cages and ripped from their mothers, as the song accuses.

The majority of news outlets spin everything (yes, everything) to put President Trump in a bad light. “Their hatred for him trumps the truth.” Their agenda is simple and clear: “remove him from office at any cost!” And I hope you realize this: “they are really coming after you, me, and our  Christian values.”

The push toward “open borders” is more about “votes” than truly “helping” people. Open borders would be like me telling my kids to leave their windows open in case a stranger needs a warm night’s sleep. That would be severe “parental neglect” because many harmful things could also enter through those open windows. Open borders would parallel that type of irresponsibility.

Additionally, our financial system cannot support “illegal” people flooding in who need assistance. How is that using wisdom? It’s not a matter of if this type of financial irresponsibility causes damage but when and how much. Our California representatives in Sacramento need to wake up to this fact—and wake up quickly. There is a better way, but our leaders must repent and seek God for wisdom.

Most critics don’t care what the facts are. Their hatred for the president overshadows their desperate need for humility. Let this sink in: “innocent children are being protected, godly counsel is surrounding President Trump, terror is being restrained, good judges are being selected, socialism is being resisted, families are being encouraged via employment, black employment is at an all-time high, prayer is being brought back in schools, God’s wisdom is being sought, and on and on it goes.”

So again, we are not following a man, we are revitalizing a movement — a movement back to God and Christian values. I’m more concerned with our nation’s national character than I am with the president’s personal character.

An analogy that I often use will bring this point home. The head of a neighborhood watch program, who took the late-night watches, had previously had an affair. He was occasionally gruff and impulsive, and sometimes his words were crass and offensive, but he watched over the neighborhood diligently each night. Each week he invited church leaders into his home to pray for him and his family and to seek their advice. He often stood against others on the committee who wanted to enact policies harmful to the neighborhood and to the children, such as advocating an open-door policy where residents were required to allow anyone into their homes at all hours of the day for handouts.

Is this not the kind of person you would want leading your neighborhood watch? Does his past or his demeanor matter more than the results he is accomplishing? If you are intellectually honest, the answer is not difficult. In the same way, the answer is simple for America. Again, we are not voting for people based on how godly they are; we are voting for the future direction of America: the right to life, the elevation of God’s Word back to its proper place, the appointment of conservative judges, securing America and her borders, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life for all Americans.

As a personal observation, I have noticed that those who oppose president Trump typically embrace liberal theology. It makes one wonder what is truly leading them: “worldly mandates or biblical principles.”

The president is not “pastor in chief”; he is “commander in chief.” Many are confused because they don’t understand the role of government. The institution of government was created by God to govern mankind—to protect and defend and to administer justice. We can’t legislate morality, but we can restrain evil and deter wrongdoing.

The real question is “whose” morality prevails? But many say, “I’m not voting for the lesser of two evils.” This statement is often used by those who want to remain silent, but it’s a flawed argument. We are actually voting for principles, not people—all candidates are sinners. “In what direction will they lead our country?” is the question we should be asking. Even more importantly, what country will we leave for our children?

I will close with what I stated in a brief op-ed: we can’t have our cake and eat it too, there is no middle ground for Christians today. You can choose a president who will wear a Planned Parenthood scarf at her inauguration or one of the countless others who would seek to “destroy” the America we know and lead us down the primrose path of “socialism and communism.” Or you can choose to back President Trump.

There is no Plan B. Vote wisely. Your future depends on it.

Undeniable Truths About the Left

As my high school football coach used to say, “It is time to fight like men or hike up your skirts and say, here it is.”  Freedom-loving, patriotic Americans need to take a deep breath, calm down and accurately assess the current cultural and political situation in the country. It is time to stop reacting to what the left does and instead focus on some undeniable truths about our enemies.  Victory only comes after finding your opponents’ weaknesses and exploiting them, but such flaws cannot be found without honest and careful study.  This is how patriots fight.

First, we must begin by properly labeling the truth as it is. For example, everything that is happening now is because the left’s plans to remake the United States from a Constitutional republic into “borderless global state” were thwarted by the people electing Donald J. Trump for president.  As a result, the left not only “hates” Trump for beating their savior Hillary Clinton, it also “loathes” the citizens who voted for him.

Once you honestly grasp the level of hatred the left has for us, you begin to understand that the Wuhan virus extended lockdowns and the Black Lives Matter/Antifa led riots are for express purpose of bringing misery and terror to those who dared to vote for Donald Trump in 2016 and those who are planning to vote for him in November.

The left has turned up their intensity to eleven in their ongoing effort to isolate Trump from his base. Democrat governors and mayors are holding your Constitutional freedoms hostage and the unspoken ransom for you to make all this desolation go away is to vote Democrat. “Abandon this ogre, Trump, and things will go back to how they were before you made the mistake of voting for him.”

Let’s play along with that scenario for the moment and say you were to desert Trump and opt for your life of comfort again. Do you honestly think the Democrats will forgive and forget? Hardly! If past behavior is an indication of future behavior, then the Democrats will continue to scapegoat you for all that is wrong with the country.

This is exactly what they are doing now when they speak of white privilege and systemic racism. What makes you think the left would cease from this malice, especially if it were to win an election for them?

And that brings us to this truth: “the left hates any American who disagrees with them.” Liberty-minded Americans understand that people are going to have strong disagreements on issues, but they appreciate that this is a consequence of free speech under the First Amendment. Leftists hate free speech, especially if it criticizes their agenda.

Since they dismiss debate, they have come up with ways to control speech and thought under the rubric of social justice and multiculturalism. Authoritarianism is the source of such a mindset, not liberty. An authoritarian wants to take away your freedom, not protect it. This takes us to another truth about the left and their proxies, the Democrat Party.

Leftists love Marxism and therefore hate liberty. The Democrat Party reflects this because they have been hijacked by the Marxist left. Marxism is the theory behind socialism and communism, although they all lead to the same result of despair and slaughter. Both are the antithesis to capitalism, yet our federal government and many of our state governments continue to fornicate with socialism. “ObamaCare” anyone?

Socialism is the foot in the door under the guise of equality and communism is the thug who breaks down the door, holds you prisoner and forces you to work for his benefit. Leftist governors and mayors have gone full communist under the guise of safety in their removal of freedoms during the Chinese Wuhan virus lockdowns. Think about the three areas the left focused upon. They went after our right to peaceably assemble, our free exercise of religion, and our right to free speech.

The left went after our right to peaceably gather by limiting the number of people we could congregate with and initiating social distancing. Next, they impeded our free exercise of religion by deeming churches as non-essential and forbidding us from gathering for church services; even if they were drive-thru services. Finally, free speech was attacked when leftist social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter censored any posts or tweets that went against the COVID-19 media narrative.

Google even controls what information you have access to with a search and now is even “manipulating” stories regarding the uptick on positive cases of COVID-19. Think I am kidding? Just enter any random number and “new COVID cases” and you will get a series of stories with the numbers you entered. I tested this myself. I first entered “300 new COVID cases” and I got this.  I then entered “400 new COVID cases” and got these results.

Just for “absurdity” sake I then decided to enter the random numbers 293 and 671 and surprisingly I got hits featuring those figures. Coincidence? Remember there is no such thing as coincidence on the left. Manipulation is more like it, which takes us to another truth about the left.

Feel drained and frustrated? Thinking that this is the end of the American experiment? That is because the left has been manipulating your emotions; case in point, polling data. All we have been hearing lately is Trump is toast. Biden has a double-digit lead. That’s it, turn out the lights. This is all to dispirit you. Since March, there has been a non-stop pile-on of your emotions. This, in an all-out, no holds barred effort to convince you to give up all hope and reject President Trump.

We are in the midst of a cultural revolution brought to you courtesy of the left. They want you to believe that “rioting and looting” has been a genuinely organic occurrence. However, when you look at the timing and precision of recent events it has become more obvious that this battle plan had been in the works for some time and just needed the right fuse to set off a powder keg. And this leads us to another sobering truth about the left.

The left is willing to destroy “race relations, shred the Constitution, call for the defunding of police, and validate lawlessness,” all for the express purpose of achieving an election victory in November. All this violence and fear has been unleashed in the hopes of sweeping the Democrats, led by a cognitively challenged presidential nominee, into power. Let that sink in.

When you have no positive agenda to offer and nothing inspirational to run on then I guess encouraging “anarchy” is next logical step? Since they cannot run a campaign on “building anything”, why not campaign on “tearing down” the works and achievements of others?

They claim to offer new enlightenment on the “sins” of our forefathers, but all they can offer is “condemnation” as if they are “judge, jury and god.” This is not hyperbole but a fact. In the absence of worshiping a Creator, the left blasphemes by making themselves little gods where everything they demand should be a dictate for all and nothing they say is worthy of criticism.

Arrogance and hubris are two other truths about the left that we need to understand. And right now the Democrats are smug and they are thumping their chests in victory. They believe they have come up with the winning strategy to defeat Trump and to radically change the culture. They are convinced of the validity of their polls and are gleefully savoring the fear of average Americans. I am convinced this will be their undoing.

More and more people are becoming wise to all that is going on and that includes the average Democrat voter. They see what their party is doing to this country and they are taking note. These average working-class Democrats are just like the average working-class conservatives who only want to have a good job, savings, good schools for their kids, a nice house, and to live in a safe community.

They see their party becoming dangerously “radicalized” and I do not doubt that they are just as troubled about the direction of the country as we conservatives are. These men and women may not voice their disgust , but do not be surprised to read a post mortem to the election that will show many Democrats casting a “vote” for Trump. And I believe that will also be true of the Black community.

You may not see them interviewed, but a great many blacks “appreciate” that President Trump has done more for them than all the presidents of the past 30 years. This is a powerful truth that black and Hispanic “unemployment” have been at all-time lows under the Trump Administration.

Democrats know this and it scares them. Prior to the Wuhan virus pandemic, at least of 20 percent of blacks indicated they would be voting to re-elect President Trump. If that holds true, that would be a death knell to the Democrat Party. This is a huge reason for the left fanning the flames of “racial unrest under the lie of systemic racism and white privilege.”

A final truth is that the left is aided by “sycophantic media.” The left seems powerful only because the media portrays them that way. The media never challenges Democrats and rarely publish any negative stories about them unless there is some sort of political calculation in doing so. This is a double-edged sword. Such reporting is inherently dishonest at its core and spares the left from hearing honest and UN-filtered truths about the failures of their policies and actions.

The truth is sometimes uncomfortable to face, but it is liberating. In the days that follow this Independence Day weekend, make it your goal to know the enemy. For in these truths are the means of defeating the Democrats and taking the country back. Take note of these truths and formulate a personal or group plan to push back against the left. We need to begin offenses on multiple fronts against the enemy, using their tactics against them.

Make it a point to illustrate these truths to your friends who see the Democrats as some unstoppable force. Never give up, never lose hope, never lose faith and stand in the strength of Almighty God. With God’s help, prayer and determination on our part, we can and will turn the tide.

Democratic Socialism

Not a day goes by where the media and many Democrats don’t slander Trump, Christians, Republicans, Conservatives, and even white men as “Nazis” and “Hitler.” 

Even worse, those on the “Far Left” who increasingly describe themselves as “Democratic Socialists,” ignore the fact that the word “NAZI” stands for “National Socialist German Workers Party” whose socialist policies were virtually “identical” to those of Bernie Sanders’ and other Democratic Socialist followers.

Actually, Adolf Hitler wasn’t a “right wing,” he was a “Socialist Liberal.” There’s an easy way to remember it –“ NAZI” stands for “National Socialist German Workers‘ Party.” 

What does “National Socialist German Worker’s Party” mean and how is it different from “Democratic Socialism”? Basically it’s a matter of “semantics.”

A Democracy is a “mob rule”, which is why America is actually a “constitutional representative republic” and not a democracy.

“A representative republic protects the minority from the majority, whereas a democracy is the rule of the majority.” Leftists get caught up in words, getting tripped up over “National Socialism” as opposed to “Democrat Socialism.” But it’s just that. “Semantics.”

What we don’t often hear or learn about is how Hitler “ruled” the rest of Germany, what his domestic “socialist policies” were for the German people he didn’t “march off to death camps.”

They’re eerily similar to what American Democrats “tout” today. He initially had the support of “mobs” of people. Now replace many of Hitler’s “policies” with something you hear from Bernie Sanders and other Democratic Socialist.

Hitler’s policies were anything but “conservative.” He wanted big government, big education, and thought control. He hated “political” dissidents. He loathed “free-speech.” He feared an “armed” citizenry.

Notice the policy similarities between “Hitler’s National Socialists” and the “Far Left Democratic Socialists” of today:

Employment for All 

After the Great Depression, Hitler made a huge promise to his people: “employment for all.” How did he do it? Roads and infrastructure

Big Education and National Healthcare

Kitty Werthmann, an Austrian World War II survivor, gives her account of Hitler’s “takeover” of Austria. The similarities to today’s left and their “progressive agenda” are staggering! This is a ”must watch!”

Gun Control

Yes, Germany had “gun” control. It started before Hitler with a national gun registry in the 1920s during the chaos of Germany’s Weimar Republic, which “opted” for gun registration. Law-abiding persons complied with the law, but the Communists and Nazis committing acts of “political violence” did not. Finally, Hitler took the guns from Jews.

Abortion

The great “sacrament” of the left, abortion. You’ll be pleased to know that Hitler was “pro-choice.” Compare the Nazi’s application of abortion to how “Planned Parenthood”, a government-funded organization, operates. Also read up on Margaret Sanger, who echoed much of Hitler’s sentiment.

Blaming the Jews

Hitler used the Jews as a “scapegoat”, blaming them for everything, including “economic” hardship, even though the Jewish population in Germany was “less than one percent.” Despite that, Hitler insisted on taking their money.

The Police State

If you dared “oppose” the Nazis or Hitler politically, especially with your “words”, you better watch out. The “Gestapo” was on the hunt for political dissidents, many of whom would simply “vanish” in some oven.

Compare the Gestapo with how leftists want to “jail” people who do not believe in man-made “climate” change. Or Compare the Gestapo to the “Gay-stapo”, who fines people who do not agree with gay marriage or the gay lifestyle. Compare the Gestapo to liberal New York, which fines you for not using the right “gender pronouns.”

Most people today don’t realize that the “KKK” was actually founded by “Democrats” and shortly thereafter, one of its leaders, “Robert Byrd”, became a United States Senator who served for many years and was considered a Democrat “icon” and a Hillary Clinton “bestie.”

Liberal Hitlerism is a definite “must-see” for your friends and family who “refuse” to acknowledge that “socialism, democratic or otherwise, is the first step to full-blown “communism.”

Keep in mind that as a “constitutional representative republic,” America is not now, nor ever has been, nor ever will be a true “democracy” otherwise known as governing by “mob rule” unless democratic socialists get their way.

“Renegade” Pope Francis said that Christians “spreading” the gospel is the same as Muslims “waging” jihad.s

In a shocking interview, the Pope likened Jesus Christ to ISIS and said Muslim migrants must “inbreed” with Europeans to counter “declining birth rates.”

“Today, I don’t think that there is a fear of Islam as such but of ISIS and its war of conquest, which is partly drawn from Islam,” he told French newspaper La Croix.

“It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam, however, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.”

The Pope also said he “dreaded” hearing about the “Christian roots of Europe” because, to him, they take on “colonialist overtones” and he called on European nations to “integrate” Muslim migrants into the continent.

“This integration is all the more necessary today since, as a result of a selfish search for well-being, Europe is experiencing the grave problem of a declining birth rate,” he stated.

“A demographic emptiness is developing.”

Pope Francis, who has taken in 3 Syrian “Muslim” refugee families into the Vatican but no Syrian “Christian” refugees, seems to think that the “armies of Muslim migrants” pouring into Western European countries are “nothing to be concerned about.”

His opinions are “stunningly” similar to those of top “Iman” Sheikh Muhammad Ayed, who said Muslims should “exploit” the migrant crisis to breed with Europeans and “conquer their countries.”

“Europe has become old and decrepit and needs human reinforcement… they are not motivated by compassion for the Levant, its people and its refugees… soon, we will trample them underfoot, Allah willing,” he stated.

“Throughout Europe, all the hearts are enthused with hatred toward Muslims. They wish that we were dead, but they have lost their fertility, so they look for fertility in our midst.”

“A completely free market does not work,” he claimed. “Markets in themselves are good but they also require a fulcrum, a third party, or a state to monitor and balance them.”

“In other words, what is needed is a social market economy.”

It’s been estimated that in the 20th century alone, “socialism and communism” resulted in the deaths of at least 130 million people.

I must have missed the “Bible” chapters where Jesus’ disciples “behead people, force them into sex slavery and make them pay a tax or being executed if they refuse to convert.”

When you want to fundamentally “transform” America, and make it quietly gradual, green cards can help.

Granted, “Common Core” public education is a great tool helping us, the people, to “UN-learn” the Constitution, but foreigners, “legal or illegal,” are even better because they already “don’t know” the Constitution.

Not knowing their “rights” as citizens makes foreign workers and peasants a lot more “tractable.” Some of them don’t “speak” English and most can’t “read” cursive, which is what the “Constitution” was originally written in.

It is a simple way to transition from constitution to communism. We need results much “quicker” and the foreign “immigrants” will get us there.

The “individualistic” American culture is “foreign” to foreigners and with the way things stand now, they won’t be “allowed” to learn it.

Obama willing, ten years later we’ll all be “speaking” a foreign language and all our new American “workers and peasants” will ever know about the Constitution is that it’s some “obscure” document written in “forgotten “cursive.

Progress is moving rapidly and “Next Tuesday” is ever so close.

Judging by the 10-gallon hat, this man must be a “Texan,” and he’s reading the new “constitution” of his republic. So what seems to be the problem?

One part of my “foreign policy” plan, Obama explained, is to conduct a forward thinking “proactive” policy of sending our Armed Forces south and east into the “oppressed” countries from which many millions of economic “refugees” are escaping to the United States.

As wise “Democrats” know, millions and millions of the poor in those countries “yearn” for and “dream” of living in the United States where they can “enjoy” their lives in “peace” and productivity.

Obviously we “must” help these people. Obama’s plan will “turn” Central and South American countries into “new” States of our great Nation thus “humanely” liberating those people and giving them new “hope,” small “change” and “freedom.”

We will use the U.S. military in a “humanitarian” effort, and once the “integration” is accomplished, will give the Democratic party many new “loyal” voters.

All we need is “compassion” in our hearts.

And let’s not forget the “Violence Against Women Act” (VAWA) signed by Bill Clinton, a “true lover of women,” that allows any woman, especially those from other countries, to “accuse” the man they hook up with “abuse.”

After the “hookup,” all they have to do is to get the guy to “marry” her. Having achieved that step, the next one is to “file” for divorce.

They don’t even have to “provide” proof. It’s assumed they “experienced” this abuse because women are “reluctant” to mention the details of the “transgressions” because of “shame”, therefore should be granted to “dissolve” the bonds of matrimony and “marry” a new victim.

Voila! Instant “Green Card!” And, in many cases, “US citizenship.”

I despise these so called “privileged” green cards as exclusive and “racist,” as they marginalize the “chlorophyll” challenged!

They come here and “displace” the underprivileged and unfortunate citizens just because they “will do what American workers won’t do.”

President Obama, our “fearless” leader, has “promised” Immigrants, “When you have a job, you can keep it. Period.”

Democrats have “battled” Republicans for months and now they can begin “issuing” millions of work “authorization” permits.

The Obama administration is almost “finished” with the process of “amnesty” by circumventing congress.

The next process is a “rubber stamp for citizenship.”

Ukrainian Revolution

Ukrainian Revolution 00The Ukrainian people are finally tasting “Freedom” even as America slips deeper into “Communism.”

I can only “imagine” what people must be feeling and I hope that Putin will keep “his hands off of the Ukraine” in the days to come.

A great quote from Thomas Jefferson sums up it up quite nicely: “What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?”  

The price of liberty is “eternal vigilance” and they’re off to a wonderful start which hopefully never ends.

The resistance that is happening is “exciting and inspiring.” To see Ukrainian people “shake off” tyranny while at the same time seeing people in America “embrace” tyranny makes me fearful for the future.

What does it say for America when Ukraine has to teach Americans the “value of freedom” and the “costs of tyranny?”

Perhaps tyranny is something we must first “experience” ourselves in order to “appreciate” what it’s like to not be in its grasp.

There will be “challenging” times lie ahead for Ukraine. The “resistance” was uplifting to behold. Some have criticized the activists as merely fighting over “which master to serve” without any consideration for the “bloody history” of domination exerted by Russia over Ukraine.

These same people sit on their hands as “tyrants” take hold of their country. I say to them at least the Ukrainians fight. Even if the “despots” return they will always have to think “twice” because of this uprising.

The lives lost in “revolutions” are becoming fewer and fewer. Technology is advancing at such a rapid pace that the primacy of the “individual man” cannot be resisted by the State for much longer.

We will “face” the same challenges before “too long” here in the United States and what has “happened” in Ukraine is encouraging.

My thoughts and prayers are with those in the Ukraine and the families of the “martyrs.” It reminds me of words spoken November 19, 1863 after a victory, which can also be applied here:

“But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate — we cannot consecrate — we cannot allow — this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

Another blow has been struck. The “fire of freedom” sometimes smolders but somehow can never seem to be “extinguish” completely. Let their “martyrs have not fallen in vain.”

And let us not forget to heap our “disdain and disapproval” on Barack Obama and John Kerry for their “inability” to see and understand the problem, their “blindness” in envisioning a solution to the problem and their “weak” leadership in implementing a “peaceful” solution to the problem in the Ukraine.

“This is an act of aggression …. It’s really 19th-century behavior in the 21st century. … You just don’t invade another country …” U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said (Meet the Press, March 2).

Although it drips with “arrogance and ignorance,” which makes it easy to discard in frustration, there is enormous “value” in Kerry’s remark. It’s valuable for the profound “insight” it furnishes into the worldview of America’s leaders and the “fatal mentality” at the heart of America’s foreign policy.

The arrogance stems from the “supplanting of fact with personal opinion.” Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the hours and days prior to John Kerry’s statement, showed that “indeed you can in the 21st century behave in 19th-century fashion.” But that didn’t matter.

Instead of being “rooted” in evidence, historical or scientific, the “truthfulness” of Kerry’s remark derives from the eloquence and confidence with which it is delivered, and most importantly, the authority of the source. It was quintessential Obama administration: “This is the truth because I say it’s the truth.”

Then there’s the obvious “ignorance”, both of the nature of this crisis and the character and strategy of Vladimir Putin. But, most fundamentally, of human nature.”

The Obama administration apparently believes that “because we live in the 21st century, because our leaders have Ph.D.’s and were educated at Oxford and Yale, because the world is highly globalized and our leaders engage in erudite diplomacy, because human civilization is more sophisticated and advanced,” that we have evolved beyond the era of invasions and wars.

“This is the 21st century,” they seem to reason, “we’re too smart, too progressive, to invade nations and start wars.”

It’s a pleasant thought, and one we all wish was true. But it ignores a basic reality: “The 21st-century human heart is exactly the same as the 19th-century human heart, and the 10th-century human heart, and the 1st-century human heart. It’s true that 21st-century man is smarter (at least in the sense that we have more knowledge), is more sophisticated (or at least it seems), and has better technology. But our added intelligence and sophistication comes with a handicap.”

It has “blinded” us to the fact that our “human nature” remains the same!
