Wonderfully Made

A new film to be released in early 2021 that directly “challenges” the Catholic Church’s teaching on “homosexuality” received the full endorsement of Father James Martin, SJ, author of pro-homosexual audio book “Building a Bridge,” and Father Bryan Massingale, an openly “homosexual” priest.

Father James Martin has made a career out of trying to normalize homosexuality.

The film, “Wonderfully Made,” was created by Jewish filmmaker Yuval David, a homosexual “married” to a “homosexual” Catholic man, Mark McDermott.

The purpose of the movie is apparently to fill a “significant gap” in Christian iconography, namely “an LGBTQ+ depiction of Jesus,” David told amnew York Metro in an interview.

According to David, the film “explores the tension between LBTQ+ Catholics — who are often rejected from participating with their religion due to their sexuality and gender identity — and also have no visual representation, which is especially exclusionary in a faith where iconography plays such a huge role.”

“Recognition of this rejection through my photo art project organically turned into the idea of re-imagining Jesus as a member of or supporter of the LGBTQ+ community,” the director continued.

David claims to have been moved to create a “gay Jesus” after conversations with his Catholic “husband” revealed that McDermott “felt there was not a place for him in the same way as there was a place for straight people in the Catholic Church.”

Despite identifying as Catholic, both McDermott and David are members of well-known homosexual-friendly synagogues “Congregation Beit Simchat Torah” in New York and “Beit Chayim Chadashim” in Los Angles, Church Militant reported.

The film, touted as “a feature-length documentary film exploring the challenges and aspirations of LGBTQ+ Catholics featuring interviews with leading advocates of LGBTQ+ Catholics,” including Martin and Massingale.

David also boasted that he interviewed “heroic nun” Sister Jeannine Gramick, “a formidable advocate who has been ministering to LGBTQ+ people since 1977.”

Sister Jeannine Gramick and Francis DeBernardo of New Ways Ministry at the Vatican.

David noted that the nun, co-founder of “New Ways Ministry”, an ardently pro-homosexual advocacy group, had received “a directive from the Vatican in 1991” to discontinue her work with homosexual persons on the basis that she did “not faithfully convey the clear and constant teaching of the Catholic Church” regarding “the intrinsic evil of homosexual acts and the objective disorder of the homosexual inclination.”

“Hierarchical requests did not deter her,” David pointed out, before calling her “a true woman of faith.”

The film’s promotional website explains that it is the first of a planned docu-series “LGBTQ+Religion,” each episode of which will focus on other faith traditions and LGBTQ+ identities. “Wonderfully Made” focuses on Catholics depicting Jesus in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.

During an interview within the film, Massingale describes his “dream of a church where two men and two women can stand before the Church, proclaim their love and have it blessed in a sacrament of marriage,” contravening the clear teaching of the Church on the nature of sexuality and, indeed, marriage.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly enunciates, in entry 2357, that, based on Sacred Scripture, “which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,” the Church has consistently instructed the faithful that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. Under no circumstances can they be approved.”

In spite of the moral teaching regarding homosexual acts, Massingale added that, in his dream, “their homosexual love relationships would be seen as divine. That God is present in that relationship. When we look at their relationship, we touch God.”

The movie provides a platform to a number of activists who seek to “undermine” to Church’s immutable position on homosexuality. Marianne Duddy-Burke, executive director of “DignityUSA”, an organization dedicated to assist “lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer Catholics to experience dignity through the integration of their spirituality and their sexuality,” says in the film that homosexuals must be assured: “You are holy. You have the breath of God within you.”

Also speaking in the film, Fr. Martin explains that “when you look at the gospels, you see that Jesus reached out specifically to people who are on the margins. And so, I think if Jesus were here today, in the flesh, on earth, he would be going first to LGBT people. For Jesus, there is no us and them. There’s just us.”

Martin has famously espoused heretical, pro-homosexual alterations to the Church’s doctrine, claiming that the requirement for single people to remain “chaste” is not binding on homosexuals: “For a teaching to be really authoritative, it is expected that it will be received by the people of God, by the faithful. The teaching that LGBT people must be celibate their entire lives has not been received.”

Martin also received much backlash recently for tweeting a blasphemous picture depicting the “Blessed Virgin Mary and Christ-child” with halos colored rainbows. Martin captioned the image, saying “the LGBT community has few images like this. So it is not surprising that they would add their own symbol, the rainbow, in a respectful way, to a beloved image of their mother. How appropriate that she is weeping, for it her son who suffers whenever an LGBT person is persecuted.”

If you need any more confirmation that the “depraved” Catholic Church is a “cult” and Satan’s “playground” this explains it all.

The Catholic Deep Church

A Catholic Archbishop who formerly served as the Vatican’s ambassador to the United States is accusing elements of the Catholic hierarchy of operating as a “Deep Church” working in conjunction with the American “Deep State.”

Archbishop Viganò is known as something of a conservative “dissident” within the Catholic episcopate, most notably publicly accusing Pope Francis and other senior Vatican officials of failing to act after being made aware of credible accusations of sexual abuse against now-disgraced American ex-cardinal Theodore McCarrick.

The missive can be read in full at LifeSiteNews. In the letter, Viganò speaks critically of Pope Francis, a practice that is exceptionally rare within the college of Catholic bishops, let alone on the part of an Archbishop who recently served as a prominent member of the Church’s diplomatic hierarchy. Archbishop Viganò speaks of the traditional Jesuit, a religious order in which the Pope began his clerical career, practice of declining positions of authority in the Catholic hierarchy.

Viganò pointed to what he identifies as a “Deep Church” in the letter, arguing that elements within the Catholic hierarchy are working to utilize the Catholic Church to advance a vision of “global Neo-liberal authoritarianism.” He references major Catholic bishops in the United States who seem to have at least implicitly “endorsed” Joe Biden, a staunchly “pro-abortion” Democrat.

“The United States is witnessing the highest levels and centers of cultural influence of the American Catholic Church shamelessly siding in favor of the Democratic candidate and more generally in favor of the entire apparatus that has been consolidating in recent decades within the public administration. The Deep State, Trump’s sworn enemy, is joined by a Deep Church that spares no criticisms and accusations against the incumbent President while winking indecorously with Biden and BLM, slavishly following the narration imposed by the mainstream. It matters little that Trump is openly pro-life and defends the non-negotiable principles that the Democrats have renounced. The important thing is to transform the Catholic Church into the spiritual arm of the New World Order, so as to have an imprimatur from the highest moral authority in the world, something that was impossible with Benedict XVI.”

Senior American Catholic leaders such as Cardinal Joseph Tobin, the Archbishop of Newark, have essentially endorsed the unlimited abortion supporter.

Viganò goes on to rebuke nominally “Catholic” left-wing American politicians for their support of far-left, anti-Christian political causes.

“Prodi and Gentiloni in Italy – and we would also add Premier Conte, given his origin and his education – have their counterparts on the American side in so-called Catholic personalities like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Andrew Cuomo: all of them proudly support abortion and gender indoctrination, and all of them are proudly in favor of the Antifa and Black Lives Matter movements that are setting entire American cities on fire.”

Viganò also points to the “abandonment of the Chinese Catholic community” he identifies a recent secret agreement between the Vatican and the Communist Chinese government and lauding Secretary of State Michael Pompeo for condemning the agreement.

“Why does the Vatican, which is silent in the face of the Democratic party’s support for abortion and the violation of the most basic human rights in China, consider the Trump Administration to have no right to interfere in an agreement that has obvious repercussions in the international political balance?”

Quite the striking language from the Archbishop. American Catholics who seek to vote in accordance with Catholic moral teaching have serious questions to ask about the Church hierarchy’s fidelity to their religion as it pertains to the public sphere.

Catholic Death Wish

Pope Francis calls on the faithful to be as “blind to real life dangers” as he is. When he’s not pushing “global” warming and “open” borders, he’s pushing partnership and “brotherhood” with Islam.

Pope Francis called for a “reform” of the way theology is taught in Catholic schools, saying students must learn about “Islam” and that overall there must be greater “freedom in theological research and academic pursuits.”

The “Jesuit” pope made the call during a speech at the Jesuit run “Theology University” in Naples, Italy. It follows his outreach this year to the Muslim world with the signing of a “joint statement” with the imam of Cairo’s Al Azhar, the seat of Sunni learning, establishing the relationship between Catholics and Muslims as “brothers with a common mission to promote peace.”

In his speech, Francis said “dialogue and partnership” with the Muslim world is necessary “to build a peaceful existence, even when there are the troublesome episodes by fanatic enemies of dialogue.” Catholic theology students must learn the culture, language and way of thinking of  Muslims “to better understand and live out our relationship,” he said.

After the theologically doctrinaire papacies of St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, Francis has stressed instead the need to “walk together” with interfaith partners, often joking that theologians should “ruminate” on a deserted island while religious leaders press ahead with “dialogue” on the ground. He has also called for a more pastoral, merciful and conscience-driven approach to “sticky” theological problems, such as Communion for the civilly “remarried.”

The Pope is pushing for Catholic students to be taught the “lie” that normative Islam is a “religion of peace” and so, it follows that anyone who “disagrees” with this lie would be deemed “intolerant” opposed to dialogue and pluralism.

In truth, it is Islam that is “intolerant, supremacist and resistant to diversity.”

If the Pope is genuine about “dialogue” then he should be mutually calling for Islamic States and Islamic schools, beginning with Al Azhar University in Cairo, to establish and preach equal status to all “disbelievers, women, gays” etc., and promote dialogues with unbelievers like “Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists” etc.

In his “promotion” of Islam, the Pope has become “the Grand Sheikh Francis of Al Vatican“, and is dismissing the sufferings of “persecuted” Christians, victims of jihad “terror and assaults.” The Pope’s call for reform within “the way theology is taught in Catholic schools” is a continuation of his dogged efforts which are subjugating “Christianity” under Islam.

In a meeting with hundreds of alumni of Jesuit schools in the Vatican, Francis told his hearers that authentic hospitality “is our greatest security against hateful acts of terrorism.”

With your help, the Pope said, “the Church will be able to respond more fully to the human tragedy of refugees through acts of mercy that promote their integration into the European context and beyond.”

Francis continued, “I encourage you to welcome refugees into your homes and communities, so that their first experience of Europe is not the traumatic experience of sleeping cold on the streets, but one of warm human welcome.”

Pope Francis, the leader of 1.2 billion Roman Catholics, told reporters aboard his plane returning from a visit to Turkey that he understood why Muslims were “offended” by many in the West who automatically equated their “religion with terrorism.”

The Argentine “communist” pope, who has been trying to foster cooperation with so-called “moderate” Islam in order to work for peace and protect Christians in the Middle East, said it was wrong for anyone to react to terrorism by being “enraged” against Islam.

And if that isn’t bad enough, Pope Francis recently called for the “opening” of Europe’s borders even wider than they already are so that Muslim “invaders” can advance their plan of creating a worldwide “Islamic” caliphate. How do you say “traitor” in Latin?

During the meeting, al-Issa thanked the Pope for his “fair positions” on what he called the “false claims that link extremism and violence to Islam.” In other words, he thanked the Pope for dissembling about the motivating “ideology of jihad terror” which his group has been accused of “financing”, and for defaming other religions in an effort to “whitewash” Islam.

The Grand Imam of Cairo’s al-Azhar, Ahmed al-Tayeb, has extended his gratitude and thanked the Pope for his “defense of Islam against the accusation of violence and terrorism” while Christianity is still waiting for the Pope to “defend it against widespread Islamic persecution.”

In direct contradiction to Pope Francis, Cardinal Robert Sarah, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, has called it “his duty” to warn fellow Christians and Europe that Islam is not benign but “expansionary and threatens free societies.”

He stated: “As during the fall of Rome, elites are only concerned to increase the luxury of their daily life and the peoples are being anesthetized by ever more vulgar entertainment… The barbarians are already inside the city.”

He was referencing to Muslim “migrants” who have now immigrated but not “integrated” into Western societies.

It is only a matter of time before the Pope promotes “Mohammad over Jesus.”

Soon Pope Francis will become a “born again” Muslim!
