Madame Speaker

Finally, Alexandria “Sandy” Ocasio-Cortez, the young, “uneducated and financially illiterate” Latina firebrand freshman congresswoman from the Bronx, took over as Madame Speaker replacing the “old and senile” Nancy Pelosi who claimed America was losing “500 million American jobs” each month if we don’t pass her “$1 trillion pork barrel” spending boondoggle.

When Ocasio-Cortez, the leader of the “brat pack” put the old guard on notice and voted for Pelosi, it was an electric visual: “two fierce women, a fading 78-year-old capping her career and an uncontrollable 29-year-old starting hers, joining forces to fight the 72-year-old ‘Orange Man’ in the Oval Office.”

In another first for “rookie” Sandy Ocasio-Cortez, the “ultra” liberal Democrat took over the “gavel” which Nancy Pelosi “never” had.

Sandy took her turn with the gavel and ran the “chamber” for about an hour presiding over “special orders” which are generally short “speeches” by House members at the end of the day’s “legislative” business.

Sitting in the House Speaker “chair” is part of a routine “day-to-day” rotation by lawmakers who are members of the party who “controls” the chamber, currently the Democrats. The Nation can hardly wait till “motherfucker” Tlaib and “anti-Semitic” Omar  taking their “turns” with the gavel.

Ocasio-Cortez, 29, called on members as they rose to speak, once or twice stumbling over their states of origin. “For what purpose does the gentleman from Ohio – um, from Illinois, excuse me, seek recognition?” she ask Rep. Sean Casten, a fellow freshman Democrat, on the floor.

“That was my first time presiding. And it’s exciting. It’s certainly a view. I wish we could, I wish we were allowed to take photos” she gushed afterwards, although it’s against House rules for photographs to be taken on the House floor.

She then proudly tweeted about her “accomplishment” and included video footage from C-SPAN.

Ocasio-Cortez describes herself as a Democratic “socialist” and is the most prominent member of a group of female Democrats elected to the House for the first time last November, bolstering the party’s “ultra liberal wing.”

No longer “content” with Nancy Pelosi, the right craves a new “she-devil.” Republicans have “mocked” Ocasio-Cortez’s hardscrabble story, “howled” at her proposal to soak the rich with a 70 percent tax, “scrutinized” her clothes and “booed” her at Pelosi’s swearing-in. Sandy saucily tweeted back, “Don’t hate me cause you ain’t me, fellas.”

She has become a “sensation” on social media, drawing headlines for “dance” routines and being one of Pelosi’s much maligned “five inmates” running the “asylum” of House of Representatives.

Sandy Ocasio-Cortez also championed the “Green New Deal”, a package of proposals to tackle “climate change” by bamboozling six senators running for the presidency into “co-sponsoring” the deal, a nonbinding resolution which would cost “$93 trillion and abolish not only air travel but also nuclear power.”

Fortunately, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., called the spooked senators’ “bluffs” and forced a vote on the Senate floor. Not a single Democrat “voted” for it. The co-sponsors of the resolution now all look like “fools” and they have “Speaker Ocasio-Cortez” to thank for it.

The old guard and the new guard joined forces as Nancy Pelosi swore in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a member of Congress.

One must be hard “pressed” not to see how the past months didn’t give “previous” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a “drinking” problem, but if her “60 Minutes” interview is any indication, she’s holding herself together by a “thread,” even if she can’t keep the “like five people” in the Democratic Party from starting a “civil war and burning down the House.”

Amid plummeting public support from the nation’s Democrats to “impeach” President Trump, Pelosi has carefully worked to quell House fervor to vote on DOA impeachment charges. Yet one of the “like five people” Rep. Rashida Tlaib, also the first member of Congress called for the outright “annihilation” of the state of Israel, and is still making the cable news rounds pushing her “impeachment” resolution.

And surely no one’s caused Pelosi more of a “headache” than Rep. Ilhan Omar, who in the last few months has found herself “embroiled” in controversy for claiming that AIPAC and the Jews use their “shekels” to control Congress. She has charged American Jews who support Israel with holding “dual allegiance” to “a foreign country.”

She has also called the succession by the globally recognized interim president of Venezuela, progressive Juan Guaido, a “U.S. backed coup” to “install a far right opposition.” She has laughed on video at American fear of “al Qaeda” and equated the terrorist organization to the United States military. She has been caught on tape referring to 9/11 as “some people did something” while “fundraising” for the Hamas-linked organization CAIR. As with her “anti-Semitic” comments, she has also doubled down on this.

Pelosi began her second speaker ship as “ruthless” as she was when she rammed “ObamaCare” through the House and “down the throats” of a public that didn’t want it. Left to her own “volition”, she’s handed over the reins to the “like five people” economically illiterate neophytes who “witlessly” deliver the Republican Party endless fodder, and potentially the 2020 election.

It cannot be “pleasant” for Omar’s colleagues to have to “wonder and worry” what that next remark will be, knowing that Donald Trump and his “Twitter” feed will be waiting to “blame” all Democrats for the “provocations” of one.

By not putting themselves on “record” about Omar and Tlaib when they could, Democrats now find themselves “bound” to hear more from them. This problem will get worse, and its “political consequences” will become ever more costly for Democrats who want to “win” national elections and “govern” the country.

Pelosi’s petty shade is satisfying to watch, but when push comes to shove, she’s completely and utterly failed at nipping the Democratic Party’s escalating flirtation with “anti-Semitism, dalliances with foreign adversaries and refusal to denounce terrorism, embrace of socialism, and wholesale rejection of economic reality.”

“I do reject socialism as an economic system. If people have that view, that’s their view. That is not the view of the Democratic Party” Pelosi told “60 Minutes.”

Pelosi may be correct that it’s not the view of the “majority” of the Democrats in the House and the country as a whole, but between the media and the public meltdowns from the “like five people” in Congress, the narrative has “escaped” her.

Pelosi says she “recognizes” Guaido as Venezuela’s rightful president, but Omar still “inexplicably” sits on the prestigious “House Foreign Affairs Committee” even after rejecting the “will” of the Venezuelan people.

Pelosi says she “opposes” socialism, but Ocasio-Cortez still sits on the “House Financial Services Committee.”

Pelosi says she “abhors” Omar’s anti-Semitic rhetoric, but she still allowed the “like five people” to dilute a resolution “denouncing Omar’s anti-Semitic rhetoric” to the point that it became a “mockery.”

Pelosi still “poses” on magazine covers with the “like five people” of course. They should, however, “focus” on the big picture: “The old Orange Man is doing such an amazing job it would be a shame to get in the way of that.”

Pelosi has two options: “Buck up and take back her party, or just hand 2020 to the Republicans.”
